Ok. That's an incredible statement by her, if she actually said it.

 

It was one of those round table talks. Someone said she said that and I didn’t hear anyone say she denied it. But maybe they were just saying it was an allegation.

 

Oh. Well that's different.

 

Why would he rationalize it? He can fire any ambassador he wants and he should have fired them all. He certainly needs to fire anyone in the Executive Branch who is not committed to implementing Trump's policies where those policies are within the law and the Constitution.

To me, the most shocking thing about this recording is how easily Trump is manipulated. It is clear he know nothing about the ambassador. Then someone who is not in his administration - someone he now claims he doesn’t know - says she needs to go, that she has been saying he will be impeached and within 30 seconds he says get rid of her.
No investigation from within the state department, no input from his administration - just an off the cuff decision based on uncorroborated information.
That’s the scariest part of this.

 

What shocks me is how deep is the deep state. People sneaking cameras and phones to record the President, working and plotting to destroy him without regard to what that does to our country. They take advantage of his naivete and use it to plot to destroy him. He believed that the halls of government would do what they're sworn to do, to defend the Constitution, including helping the President execute HIS constitutional functions rather than stand by while he blunders, seek to impede him when he does things that would be brilliant, just so they can deny him the win for 2020. They sneak around, recording, leaking, impeding, and destroying. It doesn't seem that any of them use their political experience to advise the President when his own ignorance puts him at risk. Instead of, "Mr. President, what you're asking may not be legal or appropriate; can we do something else," they just sneak behind his back, record, leak, and attack.

In spite of all those who are working to destroy Trump at the expense of our nation, he has managed to do more good for our country than has any president since at least Reagan, perhaps even beyond.

Those who are attacking, leaking, and working to destroy the President are cowards and traitors. Already they have done harm to our country from which we may be 100 years in recovering - before another person from totally outside the political process will dare to run for office. Even if some do run, how many now won't run? After Kavenaugh and now Trump, and, of course, going all the way back to Bork, Democrats have proven that their party is more important to them than our nation. They're despicable, every one of them.

 

Why would I listen to an audio recording that could be altered. Besides Ambassadors work at the pleasure of the President and he can fire any or all of them anytime.

 

I guess that’s one way to stay informed - not listen to something where the president’s voice has been confirmed. The WH doesn’t deny the recording.

Yes he can fire ambassadors at any time. But doesn’t it concern you that he goes from not knowing anything about her to wanting to get rid of her in 30 seconds, on the strength ONLY of uncorroborated hearsay from someone who doesn’t even work for him?

Of course it doesn’t. He could take taxpayer money, put it in his pocket and you’d still support him.

 

Trump can get away with ANYTHING. And he knows it.

This Parnas thing is another thing that he will just sweep under the rug.

If anyone thinks that Trump is a Dictator now, imagine what he will try to get away with if he is Re-elected?

 

I saw this story breaking live on Friday night and after 24 extra hours, I don't think it amounts to that much.

- Everybody knows Trump knows Parnas personally. Of course he lies about knowing anybody who can hurt him later.
- Everybody also knows Trump will take advice from absolutely anybody and everybody. Last voice in his ear, remember?
- This would have been more meaningful if the ambassador had been killed after this dinner... Just to watch PF.com Trumpublicans argue the meaning of 'Get rid of her'.

I think the hysterical part is that people can walk around 'private' Trump dinners in the WH filming and taping it...

 

Sending emails from a private server is not even a crime, let alone a felony.

- ABC CBS Nbc played this tape the same day as Trumps defense, coincidence?
- did ABC CBS or NBC ever air the tape of Joe Biden recounting his Ukraine fun?

Right the tape. That tape was played all over msm so I was wondering if the msm ever did the same for another tape of a certain former vice President.

Oh also the tape was a year old but Yovonivitch was just recently fired so they were looking into Biden in 2018 then? Because that was the supposed reason why Trump removed her to "get her out of the way to look into presidential candidate Joe Biden"

You both are correct. The President can fire an Ambassador at anytime that he wants.

But that begs the questions,
1. Why did it take a year for her to be fired?
2. Why was her reputation smeared by Trump allies, before she was fired?
3. And why did she receive a phone call telling her "to get on the next plane out of the country, because your security is at risk"?

When all Trump had to do was say "Thanks for your service, but we are going in another direction".
