The Fox News personality who repeated Fridmann's false claim was commentator Tucker Carlson, who announced to his audience shortly before 9:00 p.m., “Tom Steyer just dropped out. That is something you didn't expect. … Tom Steyer is out of the race.”

All of this due to a single tweet that no one double-checked.

Had more people bothered to verify Fridmann’s tweet, they would have found she made a mistake, and there would not have been a mini news cycle based on a falsehood.

Have people totally forgotten how to even attempt to verify these Bogus Claims?

What an EPIC FAIL by Carlson and Faux News (spreading this Unverified BS before Independently Verifying it).

Faux News and Carlson have Lost all credibility after tonight.

Reporting and spreading a Bogus Story.

Definitely a bad reflection on people who would "Rather get it First, than get it Right".

A Sad Day for Faux News.

    Thoughts?

Tommy boy got less than 4% of the vote tonight. He will drop out sooner than later.

I guess MSNBC or CNN don’t make mistakes

Every link you get from them has been vetted by the best .:roflol:

How many articles did they publish over a 2 year period, saying Robert Mueller was going to bring down Trump?

How did that work out for them?

Didn’t CNN have Michael Avenatti running for President? :roflol:

BUT, he is polling around 20% in SC, and he can spend at will, so why would anyone think that he would drop out before SC and Super Tuesday?

Carlson not verifying the story is inexcusable.

Polling around 20.0% in SC, 2.0% everywhere else. Stick a fork in it.

Steyer won't drop out before SC.

He has spent too much money there and he is polling around 20%.

He also has enough money to blanket the March 3rd States with media buys.

    As far as Liz?

If she fares badly in NV, she should drop out and endorse Bernie

He has the personality of cold oatmeal. Absolutely no charisma or flavor. He isn't going to get any traction.

Faux is a French term, meaning false. It is pronounced 'foe'. To use the term Faux News is to advertise that one has a lack of understanding of French pronunciation. Some people believed that using the term Faux News is clever. It isn't.

When evaluating the enormity of the Tucker Carlson error, please remember that CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC, the New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, and most of the rest of the mainstream media accepted as a fact that there was Russian Collusion for two and a half long years, preached it as a fact, and spent more time on the Russian Collusion story that didn't exist than any other story during that time. They didn't check sources. They didn't verify facts. They made no effort to critically look at the story. This was easily the greatest media hoax in the history of the world. And with that being said, some can manufacture outrage about an error about Tom Steyer, whose most notable acheivement is that he could spend a large portion of his life in national politics, beginning in 1983 working with the Walter Mondale campaign, and yet being known to virtually no one. I am not seeing anything close to a reasonable comparison.

Ok fine! Shame on Tucker and Fox for not fact checking that.
Now, do you think this forum has the bandwidth to show ALL the mistakes from CNN and MSNBC within the past year?

I think it was rigged. Someone paid a lot of people a lot of money to create this Tom Steyer story.

So all that you have is "whataboutism"?:bored:

Faux running with that story (without fact-checking) was a disgrace.

And Carlson is a highly paid Pro-Trump Troll.

Fake hyperbole outrage as you repeatedly take pot shots at the Fox Network while turn a blind eye to CNN and others for the Russian Hoax that you so desperately wanted to be true. I actually yawned reading through it.

You asked for thoughts, those are mine.

You guys still trust in manufactured polls, that's cute. If you do insist on doing so, I'd advise you stock up on tissues now, this election cycle is going to be a teary affair for liberals...
