About 1% of all people are violent repeat offenders. About 10% of humans have significant misdeeds, but they are still not evil. Most people are not evil.
Totally incorrect, pull your head out of the sand or where ever else you might have it stuck because the percentage is much higher than 1%. Or do you enjoy defending criminals and other defective people.
Deeds that can be considered as "evil" inflicted upon others without a legitimate justification, would dictate the individual who committed the deeds would also qualify as being of an evil nature.
In other word they are oxygen thieves and would be doing society a favor by taking themselves out of existence.
Very few released killers kill again. Only 1% of all adult men in USA and much fewer adult women are killers.
One is too many which is why killers shound be put to death, that way they can never kill again. That is still well over 3,000,000 which is way too many, do you want a killer living next door to you, I don't. And once again you have provided yet another excellent reason to allow the law abiding to be armed, pretty much destroying your anti-gun narrative in the process.
It's not a gun problem at all. It is a mental health problem. Do you think if someone attempted suicide with an illegally owned firearm that they would be any less dead then if it was legally owned? It's a simple question the answer's obvious.
My gun never gives me any problems and if no one gives me a problem, my gun wont give them any problems.
Yeah I've been around guns all my life and never once have the possessed me to make me want to commit suicide. it's almost like if the tendency toward suicide isn't there there's a zero risk of it even if you're sitting on a mountain of loaded guns. So it's clearly not a gun problem.
Then you don't really understand. The presence of armed people makes an area safer. Take for instance an armored car. These things can carry millions of dollars right down the road in front of everyone and everyone driving around it knows. But there's normally two to three armed people inside end people tend not to hijack them because the high likelihood that they get killed. The preservation of self tends to make most people not want to go messing around with the idea of certain death or serious injury. That's why militaries have guns and police. because just be understanding that they have them and we'll use them is a deterrent. That represents probably about 95% of gun use. People who go to the range and shoot probably do that less than 1% of the time. People going hunting probably hot to less than 1% of the time. Status symbols are usually something you want people to see most people who carry firearms keep them concealed, also most people that have a lot of long guns rifles and shotguns keep them in a safe. In fact showing off a weapon in public to a lot of people and a lot of jurisdictions is considered a crime. So I don't buy the status symbol. Defensive use rarely results in a homicide or even a shot being fired. I've heard of riots being stopped by just a click click sound of a shotgun. Weapons have a use more than what you listed here, to deny that is to deny reality.
No you don't agree with me. Guns are not a problem. The problem is entirely something else. People have been committing murder and suicide since the species began. They haven't had guns that long.
