    Democrat leadership is being so politically correct that they don't want people saying that most-likely Asian-Americans who went to China and returned right before the shut down brought the virus back with them.

    It's not racist to tell the truth. Someone should let Nancy and Ilhan know the difference. Political correctness can kill.

    We all know the game by now, right? Just use allegations of racism to clobber people over the head, even if the thing in question is only arguably racist from a hyper sensitive progressive understanding of reality. Yawn, boring, got old a long time ago.

    I guess it all depends.

    It doesn't bother me, personally.

    However, if I was a Mexican Citizen who was descended from the Aztec Empire, maybe I would take offense.

    That said, I (personally) have never considered it "offensive" or "racist".

    Then again, I am not descended from Aztecs.

    If you were head of the NSA and knew that a lot of people came back to the country potentially carrying a novel virus, what would you do? Get the names of everyone on flights from China to the U.S. for December and January perhaps?

    I have a suspicion that the government has done more on containment than they are telling the public, not wanting to risk the "racist" wrathful rhetoric from the left.

    Congress would have relatively top-level briefings which may be classified. How do the 1281 cases of the virus here break down demographically? I bet Congress knows because they sure don't want anyone to say the word "China".

    The government does keep telling us that "some communities" are at higher risk of coronavirus than others. That is separate messaging from talking about age groups in general or about people having other underlying health conditions.

    Anyway, I think the government is on top of this virus, perhaps more than we know.

    Just don't say "China".

    Just putting several items of information together from various sources. The government doesn't tell the public everything that they're doing. A lot gets classified.

    We want to contain the virus and it makes sense to focus on people who flew in from China before all the official shut downs. We also do not want to appear in public opinion to be targeting people by race, rather than targeting people in the true interest of public safety.

    She's an idiot. She demeans the definition of racism by using the word so freely. The virus is from China. Maybe it would make her feel better to call it the Chinese/American coronavirus.
