Ahhh, phenomenology. No wonder you have difficulty with analysis and interpretation and why data really has no meaning to you.

So how does the math work out for this ANNUALLY. No doubt you have all the data needed to show how it will progress exponentially.

If they have no treatment for COVID-19 why not stay at home anyway? I would be much more comfortable at home. Save the healthcare system for the really sick. But if a person has trouble breathing for heaven sake see a Doctor. Where I live we may be in more trouble with mosquito born illnesses like West Nile. We have millions of mosquitoes just hovering in the wet grass.

So, do people have to learn to treat each other?

maybe if you add the CC too it, but DNR means... Do Not Resuscitate, you can also have a living will on file

I did not know about these differences though, so thanks for bringing up

    https://my.clevelandclinic.org/patients/information/medical-decisions-guide/dnr-care-guide

    • DNR-CCA orders permit the use of life-saving treatments before your heart or breathing stops. However, only comfort care is provided after your heart or breathing stops.
    • DNR–CC orders require that only comfort measures be administered before, during, or after the time your heart or breathing stops (as soon as the order is written). This type of order is generally regarded as proper for you if you have a terminal illness, short life expectancy, or little chance of surviving CPR. All treatments are directed towards keeping you comfortable and with the best quality of life possible.

Yes, neither one allows for mechanical ventilation.
DNR CC is a common status in the elderly nursing home population

back when my grandma was in hospital years ago, there was only DNR, had no idea they added new options to it, it meant just what the abbreviation stands for

had you not brought this up, I would have never known, they should have named them more clearly

    Exactly.

It's been (confirmed) here in Wisconsin for 42 days now (since Feb 5th). Over those 42 days, the number of confirmed cases has risen from 1 to 48. That's 47 new confirmed cases over 42 days. Hardly "rapid spread"... I'm sure many people have had it and just took OTC cold/flu medicine and got over it (without ever bothering to get tested).

Exactly. And of the ones dying, it's all been cases of being elderly, having underlying health conditions, or both.

Precisely right. For the USA at least, I think a big reason for this hysteria was to crash the economy and stock market to take away some of Trump's major accomplishments right before elections in November (since everything else they've tried against him has failed, including the numerous hoaxes and the BS impeachment proceedings).

TDS is literally bringing the whole economy to a screeching halt.

Did TDS wreck China's economy? Is TDS crushing Italy? Your ad-hoc explanation falls apart with a modicum of logic.

The WHO is an arm of the UN and the globalists dominate both parties, whoring for the globalist bankers who run them and the UN

Irrational fear is doing those things. In America, it currently and most commonly takes the form of TDS.

In the 32 bed residential care home I owned for 5 years no one died from the flu. Most who died were from complications after breaking a hip or other fall or from normal old age.

The flu cases cover the total area of the world. The 7000 victims occurred over a very small area of the world. Perhaps a better comparison would be something like how many died from seasonal flu in Wuan and how many people died from Coronavirus in Wuan.

    Correct.

No, that's for the whole world, to date. That number is obviously still increasing as the virus spreads around the world. Last I checked there were almost 8,000 deaths.

    I don't know those numbers.

I do know the numbers for the USA though. Obviously, COVID-19 is in much earlier stages in the USA, while the common flu is in very late stages, so the COVID numbers will keep increasing for a while here, but as of right now:

    COVID-19 deaths: 97
    Common Flu deaths: 22,000+

COVID-19 has a long way to go yet...

The answer to your post is right there in your title. We are shutting things down to protect the elderly. We also need to flatten the curve so everyone doesn't get sick all at once and overload our hospitals, and hopefully get some kind of vaccine out before most do become infected.

Doesn’t answer my question at all. Why now and why not during the Swine flu pandemic that killed thousands of Americans? Why were we not flattening the curve then?

Were our hospitals inundated with H1N1 patients? No? I guess you knew the answer all along. Good boy!

Got a link? A national emergency was declared but businesses were not shut down.

Do I have a link that hospitals were not being inundated by H1N1 patients? Are you hitting the hippie lettuce in your isolation?

Swine flu has a much lower death rate.

So no link as I suspected. 7000 Americans died, they die at home?

We as yet don’t know the actual death rate of Corona. The numbers we have are based on known cases.

So, just to be clear, your position is that hospitals were being over-run by h1n1 patients in 2009?
