A very, very small percentage of people who contract the china virus are tested for the china virus; however, absolutely everyone who dies from the china virus is counted. The numbers are skewed. The kill rate of the china virus is much, much lower than being reported. The china virus is indistinguishable from the common cold/flu without a particular test. Absolutely everyone who dies from the china virus and is not old or infirm has their name and picture in the news. The old and infirm are referred to statistically, as mere numbers. This is done to give the impression that average people are dying from the china virus and that the china virus is more deadly than it is.

This sets the bar too low. There is no reason that since this virus is no more deadly than the common cold/flu, the government could not do this every cold/flu season. I don't want to come out of this with a medical version of the Patriot Act, FISA court or TSA.

We are being lied to. The kill rate of the china virus is no worse than the common cold/flu. Indeed, without a very particular test, the china virus is indistinguishable from the common cold/flu. Do not believe the media. They are making a monster out of a mouse. "Blessed are those who do not walk in the counsel of the wicked."

Boris Johnson called for corporations to volunteer to contribute to making supplies and equipment that they don't ordinarily produce. Numerous corporations did volunteer, and now they have corporations manufacturing parts and doing assembly of ventilators, masks, gowns and other stuff hospitals HERE desperately need.

In the US, Trump is not taking similar action. He bragged about signing the Defense Production Act, and then tweeted that he won't use it!!

And, as Cuomo points out that means that governors are left trying to outbid other governors for scarece supplies.

Sorry. Not buying it. The kill rate will be at least 1 percent or 10 ttimes more deadly than the flu. It is more contagious than the flu.

Imo this is a bio weapon. That was released or accidently got out .

It will take china down economically and they aint coming back .

Our death count includes the ability of our hospitals to fight the disease. And, this disease is communicable 2 weeks before symptoms - making ALL our data on deaths related to the situation 2 weeks ago + the 3 weeks that those who hospitals fail to save usually hang on.

China has been far more aggressive than we can be, and the result is that they've had an exceptionally low number of new cases - like less than 1 per day.

 

Please cite evidence for that.

This is important, as it would seem to suggest that we don't have to do what federal, state and local officials are saying and that the CDC is HUGELY wrong.

One the other hand, absolutely everyone who dies from the china virus is counted. The kill rate being published is the percentage of those who have been tested for it not those who have contracted it. Many, many times more people have contracted the china virus, never been tested, got over it and never got counted.

The china virus kills x% of those who have been tested, but it kills only a fraction of x% of those who contract it because only a fraction of those who contract it ever get tested. Most people just get it and get over it. Many people who contract the china virus have very minor, or even no, symptoms.

 

Considering how many known serious cases is useful. In Italy, as many people have died as have recovered.

We also know we are at least in the 3.5 to 5% mortality rate based on China and other countries who have had more extensive testing.

So if 80% of Americans get it we could see 9 million dead or more. That is the best information we have.

China shows that tyranny works really well in fighting COVID!!

Our freedom allows Rushbo, Hannity, Trish Reagan, and the rest to directly counter our medical community on a medical issue. And, it lets you as an individual do whatever the heck you want, though corporate entities don't get to do that.

 

I suspect more likely you. Everyone now is talking about this taking at least a year and basically being the end of life as we knew it.

 

That's what they were saying earlier on - this would be a show case as to whether 'liberalism' or authoritarianism works best for something like that...but I am not sure it was liberalism that held us back and we are now doing much the same as China did without the especially blunt things - like taking people who had been sneaking out for fun and dragging them to a quarantine centre with about 500 beds and no toilets or welding their doors shut. Many countries are and have used their police and army to keep people in lockdown and people accept it because of the situation. What we don't as yet know is if that is the future.

Yes, hopefully it will resolve that. I was listening to a video tonight on what people expected the economy to do. The US is printing money like there is no tomorrow I hear. They like most economists I have heard believe that neo liberalism failed with and from 2008 and has been held together with sticking plasters but this is now being too much and it is falling apart, One not so nice suggestion they made was the day when the banks no longer trusted each other and you would no longer be able to use your credit/debit cards anywhere.

China has proven to be less than honest . Dont trust their accounting.

 

I don't think it will take down China or the U.S.A. And with worldwide trade, worldwide tourism, and the worldwide movement of people a pandemic was inevitable sooner or later. And it also seems logical that a pandemic would start where a lot of people were crowded into one place. I am hoping the worst will be over soon.
