I don't intend to use my AR-15 for deer, not ever. I have it to protect me from the criminals that people like you want to coddle. And protect me from people that people like you want to elect to power.
Sure... Have you read this? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Assault_Weapons_Ban Refresh my memory.....Which came first? That or the 2nd amendment??
Well, you should have no problems with Biden... He don't move that fast.... Of course, if I used the same rationale, I couldn't miss yours from anywhere within 1/2 a mile...
And? What's your point? What matter is what legislation followed. You don't think other countries have norms surrounding fire arms? Other countries do, but they didn't stop them from passing legislation, or for that matter they couldn't rally forces to stop them. Why? Excellent observation. Still doesn't get to what I'm saying. Other countries have norms surrounding fire arms too. Why didn't those people or those stop, or in some cases created incentives for more legislation surrounding guns?
And? What's your point? We flaunt that thing all the dang time. Want to torture combatants? Guess what there's an argument for that! Want to protest at midnight? Can't because freedom of speech doesn't cover all forms of speech. Want to own an atomic bomb that shoots machine guns whose bullets are just tinier machine guns shooting bullets? Lots of problems there. Heck that doesn't even explain internationally norms surrounding guns. It turns out other countries own guns too, and they have rules surrounding them too.
What about a ranch rifle? You are incorrect. California requires registration on certain firearms that can no longer be sold or transferred. When the owner of that registered firearm passes away, what happens?
Help me understand this post. You want the U.S. to "do something" whether the something does nothing at all?
Probably they are destroyed. You can't really take something from people when they are dead. Are you really arguing for a dead person's right to own a gun? Seems silly.
I think your point is some vague understanding of the constitution, and really what you mean to do is to communicate a sense of national identity that excludes any alternatives. Thereby making it so that when you tell people to leave, it's because they are part of an out-group, vs any actual sense of reform. Kinda like "if everyone in my neighborhood looked like me, everything would be right in the world" effect. Not want something done, but recognize what has been done. What is the legislation, and why was it passed?
We already have laws forbidding murders. And we have laws that forbid illegal entry into this country, illegal drug sales, illegally keeping a secret server in your basement, etc.
