What the true and factual history I'm showing does prove is that there was nothing unique or exceptionally barbaric associated with the Atlantic slave trade when compared to all the other forms, institutions, and enterprises of enslavement in the long and storied history of human enslavement.

The reaction from most Whites was just as vehement as when I asked for 2 million dollars. There is a strong reaction against reparations for African-Americans---any kind of reparations.

The issue is that reparations would be going to people that were not harmed and payed for by people that were not involved. The program would either be so tight many families would fall through the cracks or so loose that it would be rifle with fraud.

I think calling for anti-poverty programs regardless of color should be where the fight is. When you throw in that only a specific race should benefit to the complete exclusion of all others you can likely aways expect some major pushback — they goal needs to be reframed.

Why should a black family that are multi-millionaires gain a financial benefit while a poor latino family has to pay for it through increased federal spending? That seems the opposite of just.

 

Where and when, in the entirety of human history, did the freeing of slaves en masse ever get any realer?

 

You could exclude anyone over a certain wealth/income threshold - Clarence Thomas, most pro athletes, Stevie Wonder, the Obamas, Dr. Dre, Beyonce, etc. - as well as anyone who wishes to be excluded.

You also structure the program in a way that is minimally objectionable for maximum acceptance; franchising for instance.

So all the blacks in America who are rich and successful won't be getting the reparations to right the wrong that blacks aren't allowed to succeed in America?

 

Even excluding the very wealthy there are tons of issues that remain. How would a family prove they were impacted? Is it a set amount per claimant or is the amount based on the original person impacted (meaning larger families would receive less)? Would there be any historical evidence required or is it just based on skin color? Would people that arrived after slavery ended be compensated?

What is franchising, I have never heard this term used on this issue?

 

If you want to dismiss people asking questions you will only shut down engagement. You already have around 30ish percent of the population, 30is percent are unreachable, People like me are the ones you have to convince as you are not going to convince a single person that is very far right away from center.

But feel free to represent your cause as you see fit.

 

I most certainly will dismiss people asking dumb, trolling questions. They are not looking to be convinced. They are only looking to spread animosity and confusion.

Fight on. I'm going to continue my fight too. I may not live to see African-Americans receive reparations, but perhaps my kids or grandkids will. All my family records/history are there for them whenever that time comes.
I won't give up. There was a time in our history when Whites said slavery would never end. We never know what lies ahead.
