Not for lack of trying, but I don't think so. I think that their constituency will get nuttier along with them.

LOL! Gee, truck drivers will be hard to replace.

We can replace them with all of those liberal college grads who can't find a job.

Oh yeah, this idea of total defunding will never happen and everyone knows it. It is just another bs red herring for the rw crackpottery. The real discussion is about diverting funds for alternate methods of civil management where possible. And certainly training for deescalation rather than escalation.

I don't know what your point is. I'll guess that you are suggesting that drivers are so desperate for work that they would risk going to lawless hellholes. At least, I hope that you're not reveling in the misfortunes of others.

I worked through the tough times after the housing collapse. I was never even asked to go somewhere dangerous.

It worked out with Hillary getting millions more votes than Trump, but a fluke in the electoral college gave it to the great orange fool. He will forever be known as an illegitimate president.

The turnover rate in the trucking industry is almost 100%. That means that the average truck driver changes jobs almost once per year. That is because most new hires can't cope with the demands of the job. The average new hire lasts six months.

I suspect that pajama boy wouldn't make it six months.

Carter maintained his honor and dignity. Trump never had either.

Carter did not know when to keep his mouth shut. He was a disaster of a president with 21% interest rates.

He criticized many presidents. Carter criticizing another president is like Whoopi Goldberg calling someone ugly.

That being said.... Carter & Trump will forever be known as past presidents.

    Hillary won’t ....:roflol:

    I agree, dems aren't.

Progressive liberalism masquerading as democrats are.

American has seen, since Trump was elected, how absolutely radical and nuts they are.

Progressives are now trying to use force to impose their agenda because they know they could never gain the support of the majority for their radical proposition.

    Progressives are done.

Drivers change jobs often to go to better companies. I have been with the same company for over 3 years. That may end soon since my company got sold and the new company keeps breaking their promises and taking things away

I've been around truck drivers all my life, having truck drivers in the family. One of my brothers even used to compete in truck rodeos.

It seems to me that I've always heard truck drivers complaining about the police. Truck driving magazines have long had articles and letters about the bad treatment they get from law enforcement officers. There are even areas that truckers drive around, because of the police.

We'll elect a lame duck whose even more incompetent than Trump, and then the whole "white racists" slogan isn't going to help in 2022 or 2024. The party's whole prospects ride on Biden succeeding.

None of these area will be as difficult as being a black truck driver or motorist driving across a good ol' boy Sheriff in the South. Their "hospitality" was often memorable.

Without a black guidebook like the Green Book ended, being a minority still required research. Woe be a minority who didn't notice a Rush Limbaugh book or sign, or I suppose in a clue that a Trump sign of some kind to help those "undesirables" to "move along", no matter how well dressed.

Throughout the history of the United States, there has been a common thread. Any and all attempts to give marginalized people equal rights and freedoms has been met with great resistance from conservative quarters.

This issue is no more evident then in police harassment and brutality. As this latest crisis has shown, it is conservatives who are not only defending the abusive behavior of the police, but cheering for more of it. More and more people are coming to see conservatism as the problem.

In Seattle, there was violence night after night. Then the mayor made the police stand down. No more violence, no more destruction. The people are peaceful and friendly. Yet, consevartives all across America want the full weight of police and military might to rain down on the people of Seattle.
