Trump's Tulsa rally crowd encouraged NOT to wear masks

With this ignorant statement below, Trump is actually encouraging those coming to his rally on Saturday in Tulsa, not to wear masks.

President Donald Trump said some Americans might wear face masks not as a way to prevent the spread of coronavirus but as a way to “signal disapproval of him.”

In a wide-ranging interview with The Wall Street Journal published Thursday, Trump also said a big issue he has with masks is that people fidget with them.

“They put their finger on the mask, and they take them off, and then they start touching their eyes and touching their nose and their mouth,” he told the Journal. “And then they don’t know how they caught it?”

Trump's rally-goers aren't the smartest people alive to begin with but no doubt there will be discussions among his supporters entering that rally that will question whether or not to don a mask. They don't want to wear a mask and be perceived to be signaling disapproval of him, because that's what he actually said. There may be many people who intended to wear a mask to protect themselves and others from Covid-19 that will now do without their masks. Trump was asked if he would be fine if Ivanka didn't wear a mask at his Tulsa rally and he said yes, he would be fine with that.

I'm pretty sure that if Ivanka is even there at the rally, she'll be wearing a mask.

The best way to avoid contracting Covid in crowds is wear a BLM T-shirt.

 

Seems some Tulsa citizens and business are trying to sue to stop the rally due to their city's cases spiking. Personally, I hope they're successful because then there would be be a precedent to stop the Jaxville convention. And in case anyone has a mind to ask - yes stopping rallies would apply to VP Biden as well.

 

I doubt that Biden's basement could hold all that many people to begin with, maybe 10 to 20 at most.

Joe Biden was never hiding in his basement. Trump though, aka #bunkerbitch, was sheltered in his bunker surrounded by armed secret service. Incidentally, Joe Biden lives on a mult-acre, 6,400 square foot home bordering a river and surrounded by surveillance cameras and secret service. He would have no need to 'hide in his basement' as Fox News has shoved down your throats.

 

Haha, ya but would he even bother? Hard to sniff hair through a mask. But here's thing - the President goes to Tusla and 2 weeks later it spikes hard with infections and deaths. Meanwhile VP Biden sits on his hands and media says "Trumps causing death while Biden wants you to be safe". The script is probably already written.

 

Yea I found out moments after posting that. Seems like they didn't really have a choice. Sucks for the people there, they're about to get hit hard.

The attendees? Yea I'm honestly not too worried about them. My general impression is that most will be happy to flaunt social distancing. I'm worried about the community around the convention.

 

The event will be a 'super spreader' and if people are smart, they'll avoid any of those people that attend that rally for at least 14 days.

 

The Secret Service took Trump to the bunker for due cause; that of hordes of arsonists, looters, and rioters trying to encroach onto WH grounds.

Biden, on the other hand, hides in his basement because he's too old, senile, and cowardly to do otherwise.

 

Except there WEREN'T 'hoards of arsonists, looters and rioters'. There was a handful of far-right and white supremacist Nazi sympathizers along with Antifa that created chaos just as Putin wanted on the first two days of protests. It had nothing to do with the peaceful protestors that got tear-gassed, intimidated with helicopter down-wash and pelted with rubber bullets while Trump strolled the across the street to have a photo op with a Bible. Trump spent more than one night cringing in a corner of the safety of his bunker.

 

It's the media's job to feed the gullible, and there's none more gullible than the liberal left.

Trump is the one writing this script. He's the one inviting massive spreading of Covid-19 with his big ego rally. And incidentally, there's a lot of things a person can't do besides 'sniffing hair' with a mask on, just ask Donald Trump.

So why did Trump say it was for an inspection? Obviously, he was fearful that it made him look weak, so he lied. I doubt POTUS would take his wife and son to the bunker for an inspection, so it was a pretty easy lie to see through.

 

Wear a mask for the Gipper.

 

Of course, Trump rally goers are going to comply. They would also jump off a cliff, if Trump told them to do it. Typical for a cult, risking one's life is a signal of devotion to the cult leader.

 

That’s the first time I’ve heard anyone call trump supporters “the liberal left”.

 

Rather than stop the rally, it would be really interesting to see what would happen if the waivers of liability were - in advance - declared to be invalid. Does anyone think trump would go ahead with the rally? Or discourage people from wearing masks? No way. His campaign knows how dangerous it is but doesn’t care about his own supporters.
