Did that apply to Trump when he was being accused? How about the police officers and Floyd and other whites accused or does it just apply to young black girls?

 

Were they the right words at the right time?

 

If it is made up and she filed a false police report she needs to be prosecuted don't ya think?

 

I don't know about prosecution, but she should be sued for the full cost of the investigation undertaken based on her false reports.

 

It's against the law to file a false police report, I know of no civil law under which she could be sued. If convicted for the crime she could be ordered restitution.

 

As long as something can be worked out whereby the taxpayers aren't on the hook for her crime, I'm fine with it.

Jail time seems excessive after the humiliation she'll suffer when the obvious is confirmed.

 

Will she suffer humiliation though? Her behavior was encouraged and in fact not only by those who cheer it on now, but those who cheered it on in the past. If we trivialize criminality(which noose-gate and presumably this does), then criminality itself will be given free rein.

And black people accuse white people of racism when it never occurs. How many recent cases of black men going to jail because a white woman accused them of rape and lied? People get prosecuted when they lie, most times. Unless you have money. Then you can get away with it. Although a bunch of rich white people got nailed for lying for the kids to get into college so there’s that.

Well, this is mental illness pure and simple.

There should be consequences, but jail goes too far.

My sole concern is who should bear the cost.

 

I have no reason to believe she knew exactly what she was doing if it proves to be a hoax and if it does it is an uniquely reprehensible crime we as a society cannot tolerate and must send that message.

 

What does that have to do here, I don't know of what cases you are talking, we have this one to deal with and if it is a hoax should she be charged with a crime?

 

I was just checking for updates to this story. It was first reported 4 days ago. There is no new info at all. The couple of newest stories offer nothing new.

This one looks to be circling the drain of the memory hole.
