The 2 white people scared of black people walking by for being black were not attacking their house or any other house. They claim they were and had to pull the guns on them unarmed black people. That's where you go wrong by going anal about that gate. Black people would have been shot on sight by the cops if they did that to white people. Everybody knows that.

What is the news at present relating to the couple? Are they going to be charged or not?

"go wrong by going anal about that gate". Spoken like someone who didn't have their own gate. So why not compare that to your own door, and you'll likely have a different answer. The second amendment is there, to enforce the first, the fourth and even the 10th Amendment(which reads, all rights not enumerated to the government, reside within the States and/or the people.)

You, an individual person does not have the right to knock down other people's doors or gates as part of the "resistance". You should respect other people's private property as they should respect your own as well.

It was more than "2 white people scared of black people walking by for being black". That's an idiotic use of the race card that isn't even close to resembling the truth. There where white people in that crowd of protestors also. Congratulations on shooting the validity of your argument in the ass with an emotionally based and dishonest use of the race card. No wonder the claims of racism don't carry much weight anymore. Everything is "racism". That couple has no way of knowing if anyone had weapons. It also doesn't take a weapon to occupy and burn down a building. I would have done the same thing. They won't be charged.

Picture of white and black protestor at the McCluskey's:

The protestors broke an expensive gate to gain entry, They were protesting.

If you have proof that the gate was not torn down by those demonstrators please post them here. A member here posted a picture of that broken gate and claimed that the demonstrators broke it down. i had no reason not to believe him so please prove me wrong if you can.

Seriously please see post number 206!!

It wasn't their own gate either. And no house was invaded or anything. And no 2nd amendment is there to protect people passing by houses posing no threat having to deal with guns being aimed at their heads.

It is communal property owned by the property owners, only property owners and those there BY PERMISSION are allowed anyone else is trespassing. Got it? And yes they were threated by the criminals who had invaded the property destroying property to do so.

By the property owners which they are. You really don't understand how these private subdivisions operate do you. The persons who broke down that gate in entered did so illegally, they were trespassing. They were criminals.

Update, both Eric (a disabled veteran) and Jillian were fired from their job. They are facing four years in prison. Their gofundme was canceled almost immediately. The leftist mob are destroying this couples lives and the lives of their children. They have created a website where you can support them and hear their side of the story AND ALSO DONATE!

Please go to the site, please donate and please sign the petitions.

They didn't just "display" firearms, which I would have been fine with: just standing on the property while armed. The wife actually pointed her gun at people with her finger on the trigger. If she doesn't at least get (rightfully) charged with brandishing, it will be a miracle. If you would do the same, then I'm sorry, but you are not a responsible gun owner.

At least one of them pointed their gun at the crowd, finger on the trigger. Yes, that's much worse than simply holding a gun, which I would support. I'm still taking time to soak in the actions of the husband. Initially, I defended him, but then I realized that I criticized a black militant for doing the exact same thing this guy was doing.

I've got no problem with having a weapon at your side. The moment a barrel faces someone, that's a different story. Maybe I'm just oversensitive to this kind of stuff based no my upbringing. My dad would have put me through the ringer if I ever treated a gun this way.

I've also read that they had claimed community-owned land by abusing "squatter's rights" (including the land they were standing on during the confrontation). That makes them jerks, but I don't think the protestors were there to protest them in particular; I'm not even sure any of these protestors knew about this couple.

The protesters had no business being present within a gated community to begin with, as they only gained access through destroying the gate that was keeping them out.

And one crime does not excuse another. Brandishing is brandishing.

Responsible gun owners already know this: don't point a gun at something you don't intend to shoot or someone you don't need to shoot, and keep your finger off the trigger unless you intend to shoot. There's no excuse for this. She acted recklessly with a lethal weapon.

Pray tell. If the rioters had not only broken down the gate, but actually stormed onto the physical private property of the couple, perhaps even into their home, would the couple be justified in brandishing their firearms then?

That's no longer "brandishing." That's actual self defense. Glad we clarified why they were acting irresponsibly. Now you know!

What grounds would the police have for seizing these weapons?
