I’m on board. Make it Trumps main platform. This should be good.

They can live in low priced housing, subsidized or not, built in other more conducive and appropriate locales.

So you are really saying some neighborhoods are not appropriate for people who live in newly developed low cost housing?

Also you all realize this is not a new idea. This policy has been effect since President Obama's second term and throughout President Trumps first three years. Has anyone noticed a significant change in the suburbs.

Certain development is inappropriate for certain neighborhoods. Been that way for hundreds of years, It's called zoning. DUH!

So why would one wish to zone a neighborhood so that some people are not free to build there. I can understand zoning for industrial purposes, but don't understand the need to exclude certain levels of income from living in certain areas especially if it is new housing. It seems like those people are losing freedom of choice.

Anyone who builds appropriately to the neighborhood and in accordance with the neighborhood can build there. If they can't build appropriately they cannot build. Has nothing to do with "freedom of choice" whatever the hell that is.

Trump's evoking President Biden issuing a decree to ban all windows is a dystopian fantasy that may not instill horror in the hearts of many suburbanites, but Fake Don is correct in targeting the demographic that is fleeing Trumpery as if he were a stinkbomb at the debutante cotillion.
The ongoing suburban realignment is one lasting consequence of the RINOs of Trumpery having displaced conservative Republicans.

If I want to build a 20-foot high purple kiddie slide on the lot next door, and the city won't permit it, are my rights -- as in civil unalienable constitutional rights -- being violated, in your opinion? There are a million things that I might choose to do that I am not permitted to do. Where is the ACLU when they are really needed.......

I guess that would depend on the reason one could not build next door to you. Zoning to keep people you do not want in your neighborhood is discriminatory if what they build meets other standards. This is just a way to keep those one feels are not desirable away from you. It is an extension of the old argument from the 1960"s that blacks shouldn't be allowed in ones neighborhood because it would lower the property value of the houses nearby. No one is wishing to build slums or purple kiddie slides. They are talking about two things renovation of run down property or building new housing. What many people are afraid of is not the building but the people who will live in that building. As long as they pay their bills, obey the laws, and are good with their neighbors they should not be kept out.

Are you in denial of the ongoing political shift in suburbia that was apparent in 2018 and is accelerating in 2020?

Fake News. You made that up.

Zoning laws exist to decide what can be built in a town, not who can live there. Zoning protects all residents by making sound decisions that positively impacts their future. For example, you wouldn't want a bomb factory to be built next to a school or a ten-story apartment building next to single-family homes.
More Fake News. Nobody in this discussion claims it is.
More Fake News, nothing more than fact free mind reading.

Per the Federal Fair Housing Act (FFHA) of 1968, it's already illegal to discriminate against minorities in housing for over a half century.

With these folks, it's always about rigging elections. Obama/Biden made the rule up out of thin air, Trump just disposed of it.

Joe Biden’s disastrous plans for America’s suburbs

Bottom line: You can not have a successful Marxist state with a strong middle class, so the middle class must be destroyed. It really is that simple.

Joe Biden plans a federal takeover of local zoning laws.

He wants to socially engineer America in a scheme called Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing that President Trump stopped.

Biden plans to force suburban towns with single-family homes to build high-density housing smack in the middle of their leafy neighborhoods — local preferences and local control be damned.

Biden wants to require “balanced housing” in every suburb accomplished, if necessary, with federal vouchers. He wants Towns to "make it possible for low-income minorities to choose suburban living" and provide “adequate support to make their choices possible.”

These are neighborhoods without the water and sewer lines to support high-density living. They don't have the schools, social services, or mass transit.

No one, anywhere in America is being denied the chance to rent or buy a home because of their race. This just another of their smears and lies.

Reject the smear and lies about the American People, Reject Biden, Vote Trump!

Or... the middle class isn't being destroyed as part of a Marxist agenda, but because of growing wealth inequality and class warfare.

Really? The Middle Class is your problem?

The Middle Class needs to note who hates them, who wants to destroy their neighborhoods, and vote accordingly.

A marxist axiom that the left just sweeps under the rug saying, "What Marx?"

Straight from the UN's Agenda 21 which has two purposes. One, like global warming, a front for destroying free private enterprise economics. Two, to get to government autocratic control of the people. Put them close where they can be watched; put them all on bicycles or government buses; put only locally grown government co-op food on their table; put all the children in large centralized government controlled schools.

The middle class was born of free private enterprise and wealth inequality. There was little class warfare before the middle class because there were few classes.

I never said that. I said it is only racist if someone wants to keep a neighborhood white.

A Republic if we can keep it. Nothing new here, maintaining our Liberty and Freedom has always meant that we must jealously guard it against totalitarians.
