Trump needs to beat this like a drum and make sure voters in suburbia know what Crazy ass Biden will do to their neighborhood. This could be the winning issue for Trump from sea to shining sea.

"The ex-veep wants to ramp up an Obama-era social engineering scheme called Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing that mercifully barely got underway before President Trump took office, vowing to stop it.

Biden’s plan is to force suburban towns with single-family homes and minimum lot sizes to build high-density affordable housing smack in the middle of their leafy neighborhoods — local preferences and local control be damned.

Starting in 2015, President Barack Obama’s Department of Housing and Urban Development floated a cookie-cutter requirement for “balanced housing” in every suburb. “Balanced” meant affordable even for people who need federal vouchers. Towns were obligated to “do more than simply not discriminate,” as a 2013 HUD proposal explained. Rather, towns had to make it possible for low-income minorities to choose suburban living and provide “adequate support to make their choices possible.”

    Absolutely!

Everyone needs to see for themselves that Trump is indeed the Racist in Chief.

If you think this is a winning strategy for Trump, I say go for it!

After all, what is the difference between hitting a wall at 300 mph vs 150 mph?

It's definitely a winning strategy. People work and save to be able to live in a nice neighborhood and don't appreciate the possibility of having inner city welfare people with their gang and violence shoved into their peaceful lives.

Then I guess you have something to look forward to, actually two, 1) whether or not Trump will use this tactic, and 2) if it will actually make any difference at all to his sinking poll numbers.

The left claims to be for freedom and liberty, and against fascism. Of course, they aren't actually enforcing this, they are trying to make it a precondition to receiving federal money. So the democrats would essentially be raising taxes on middle class towns, and if you want any of that tax money back, you will do what "we" say. Of course, there are already tons of gov programs out there that already do exactly this - trying to control society by controlling the tax money. This is just one more reason that the size of the federal government needs to be drastically cut back to what the founding fathers envisioned.

Biden will wipe up Home values in middle class neighborhoods, and the value of their home is a major portion of their net worth.

More affordable housing available? Yes please! I want somewhere to live in my home town in retirement. I'm poor so I thought I might have to move to the shabby side of town. With the small houses/trailers/apartment blocks that are hidden away on some back roads.

Some people think everyone deserves to live in a nice neighborhood and you shouldn’t have to work hard and make good life decisions to achieve this goal. Someone should give it to you.

There has been a backlog of people on the list for affordable houses for years now. We should have had many more affordable accommodations already, but building them has been on the backburner. Finally, under Biden, that is going to change. Maybe.

Except Trump is the incumbent now and there is no escaping the fact that with poll numbers this low, an incumbent cannot win.

You can cheer Trump all you like, but it isn't going to change reality.

When you see the likes of Oprah, Streisand, Bezos. Gates etc., shed the acres surrounding their mansions so "affordable" housing can be built let me know.

Sounds like it is right out of the UN's Agenda 21 playbook. Designed to make everybody live like progressives in power want them to live.

Why do we need "affordable" housing inserted into areas with high priced homes ? Makes no sense.

Because if left to the market every home would be a high priced home.

Obviously you have no understanding of economics and real estate. There will always be high price and low price homes. Location location location. The golden rule of real estate.

Perhaps it has to do with school districts? Access to better schools?

So you too think only whites live in the Suburbs. Thats racist thinking in and of itself. According to you black people can never on their own achieve these better living conditions.

How does someone living in a modest house in a wealthy neighborhood destroy the neighborhood if they are law abiding and cordial?
