He went looking for trouble and found it. That's what you claim, but if that is what happened why is he in jail charged with felony murder?

Even less so when you are carrying a gun illegally in another state in an area that you had no reason to be in.

The Kid probably should have stayed in Illinois.

The Kid should have thought about that before he carried a gun illegally in another state.

It was not excessive force-he was armed with a knife, he was resisting arrest, and a less lethal tazer was used first.

It is if multiple people are attacking you while getting hit with that skateboard, someone kicking you and you just heard a gunshot.

Now, it all depends on which Mass Media report is telling you how to think. If you are truly realistic, then you can look at things objectively. If you only watch one politically biased version of events, then you may tend to believe what they want you to believe without looking at all the facts and jumping to conclusions before all the evidence has been compiled.

I think Kyle is wrong in that he walked into a pack of madmen down the road which is insane in itself. But, once he was attacked, he had a right to defend himself. He will be probably be convicted of multiple charges, but manslaughter at best and probably more like reckless endangerment style charges due to the aggressiveness of the rioters.

He told police he had a knife, he wasn't brandishing it against anyone, and you cannot use lethal force to arrest someone who isn't a grave threat to anyone.

    No, not automatically.

Innocent until proven guilty is not the standard given to the police, but in any case that is done in the courts.

This guy could have had no warrants, no convictions, etc-but once he violently resists arrest, is tazed, and is walking away from the officers with a knife he's going to get shot until the threat is stopped.

His own actions determined the outcome here. At every step he made the wrong decision.

Telling the police he had a knife makes it ok to resist arrest? He was armed, he was violent, and he was resisting arrest.

At that point the cops actions were justified.

Thats immaterial-THEY ran at him, some were armed, and he was justified in defending his life.

No he's definitely not dead...therefore the officer's intent was not to kill him with 7 shots...just paralyze him?

Ask the cop. I don't pretend to speak for him. Are you giving up on the cop didn't have sufficient cause? Does knowing there was a weapon on the floor of the minivan now close that thought bubble for you?

That's all we know about the knife because that was all that was delivered to the DA and released to the public. It was found on the floor board. We haven't been told that he was carrying it.

And no, resisting arrest in a non-violent manner does not justify use of lethal force. You can't just switch to your gun because your taser failed.

How about they try doing what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr did during the era of REAL racism in America. He managed to start a movement an enact change through peaceful protest and non violence during an era where you really COULD be attacked by the police for the simple crime of walking while black.

Notice the lack of support for this rioting and terrorism from elderly black people in America, those who were alive during the era of Jim Crow and real American institutional racism. This so called "movement" is comprised primarily of young little punks born in the 90s and 2000's who think that burning down your own community and terrorizing innocent people is an appropriate response for so called "injustice".

Yet many of these same little punks will run around tossing molotov cocktails and stealing from Target while wearing MLK shirts as if that great man would condone any of this utter garbage. Meanwhile older black folks such as myself and literally every single black person I know over the age of 40 openly condemns this trash and wants nothing to do with these kids at all.

The news doesn't like to show you stories of people like my elderly grandmother before her passing being literally too terrified to leave her own home anymore because of these garbage little punks. Doesn't show you the stories of the congregation at my mothers church huddled in horror in Baltimore as these pieces of crap are actively destroying the community and tossing bricks through windows and vandalizing cars. Doesn't show you stories of my cousin who is a Corporal in the police force in DC who recently resigned after watching is partner get bashed in the face by rioters as they stood by their police car.

^^THOSE ARE BLACK PEOPLE, my FAMILY are black people. THAT is what they are doing to black people to supposedly help black people.

They are monsters, and I genuinely in my heart have zero sympathy for any of them. And few things in my mind are actually more disgusting than the fact that there are people out here who are actively CONDONING this crap.

For all of you who are ok with this, or who "understand" why they are doing this. Thank you for being "ok" with what these people have done to my family. I'm glad to see that you support us black people so much.
