I certainly does sound like something he would say privately. But at the same time a lot of people around him don't like him and want him to lose. So I'd like to see something more solid to believe he said that.

I'll ask you the same thing as another that took off. Post a link to what Trump has actually done to vets to illustrate contempt. He's the one bringing them home to their families.

I don't agree with the OP. So the answer to your question is no. Its possible he said that, but I'm there are people willing to make stuff up about him too. I know he lacks respect for our troops because of what he said about McCain, but I don't see any basis for believing he has no respect for them at all.

I pointed you to that statement Trump made about McCain. That is much more than failing to salute. He obviously doesn't have any empathy for situation soldiers are in when they are captured. But I can't say the dislikes all troops.

 

It would have been lack of respect if after being reminded of protocol, he stayed inside Marine One. In any event, I tire of this 'look over there' stuff which happens all the time here. Obama is history, Trump is very....now.

If I told you that wearing a Trump hat makes you a loser, what am I saying about everyone else who wears a Trump hat? Same with McCain and getting captured. Trump was saying that McCain wasn't a hero because he was captured. His reasoning applies to nearly anyone who was captured then. From a Machiavellian perspective I see his point, but there is just no empathy for the sacrifices of POWs and the risks soldiers take.

 

Trumpers don't really deny that Trump lies They don't deny that he disparages the troops, that he's a monstrously corrupt traitor that has done more harm to this country than any single President. They don't really deny anything bad about him

The Steelers should trade Alejandro Villanueva, who in my opinion has not been so hot. And I supported him for Steelers offensive tackle! He lost the 2016 Conference championship. He let us down. So I never really liked him after that because I don't like losers.


Now did I call Villanueva a loser? Yes. Would it be extremely dishonest for someone to say I called him a loser because of his military service? Yes.

There is no empathy for anyone. Period. That is why he has no issue attacking a couple who sacrificed their son for their country, mocking someone with a disability or denigrating the experience of a man who fought for his country and was horribly tortured as a result. They disagreed with him or did something he didn't like, so it was OK for him to attack them. He could have remained silent or disagreed with them in another way, but that would require empathy. Trump really only cares about himself and possibly his children. Wives, not so much.

The worst thing about this isn't Trump. He can be viewed as a profoundly flawed individual who lacks a fundamental human quality. The worst thing is how quickly and blindly virually all his supporters defend him. Presumably most of them are capable of empathy, yet they excuse everything he does & says, no matter how vile. It really is a scary thing to observe, even at a distance.

 

Prove that Biden did. There is video proof that trump called McCain a loser so show your proof or quit lying.
