Fauci addressed the American people are openly said that masks were not necessary. He later admitted that he said that so there were enough supplies for medical personnel. I'm not saying ALL spokespersons are liars, BUT we are talking about a man that doesn't take kindly to anybody contradicting the message he wants out there.

 

I think that one is legit. He probably had the rapid test done when Hicks' case was confirmed. Then, they probably did the other one (Centerfield knows the name) to confirm it. That would explain the time difference.

 

I threw it out there yesterday that perhaps Trump gave it to Hope, is she being used as the scapegoat..... It was widely publicized that Trump demanded that everyone who came to see him inside the WH had to wear a mask and Trump never wore a mask inside.

I mean, how much more evidence do people need? This is getting ridiculous.

 

It will be interesting to see if the President fully recovers, or if he becomes one of the many "long-haulers" that are dealing with
the long term impact of the disease. Hopefully, we are getting closer to better treatments to reduce that possibility.

 

Sounds like we should look at his schedule in that 36 hours where he tested positive. Guessing he wasn’t laying low to be safe

The rapid test apparently came back as negative as only Hicks was reportedly quarantined on the plane. Did they lie or is the 72 hours a slip of the tongue

Why would he "lay low"? That would require thinking of someone beside himself. Not to sound mean but I don't get the impression he ever considered the concept of being asymptomatic. He probably thinks *if I feel okay, I'm not positive*. Who knows? And, yet, they STILL are not making masks mandatory at the WH.

 

I just don't see a doctor making that kind of slip. They are trained in giving bad news to patients and families and details matter. I could be wrong, but I vote they lied.

Yup, it did...

 

Neither. I think they lied about when they first knew the POTUS was infected. It was reported that everyone was tested before the debate. That was on the honor system because there would not have been enough time to test everyone and get results onsite before the debate started. That presumably means ALL of them tested negative.

So, for the 72 hours to make sense, it means they knew the POTUS was positive earlier than it was reported to the public. IIRC, the President tweeted that he and the FLOTUS were positive very late night Friday morning. It didn't come from the press which looks like he determined when to tell us. Doing it that way begs the questions "When did he suspect and when did he actually know?"

 

Wallace said trump was NOT tested, he showed up too late.

 

Do you know how "science" works?

The show will go on if he makes a miraculous recovery so he hasn't gained much in the way of burying any falling poll numbers, refusal to condemn white supremacists (at the debate) and abysmal debate performance.

Yup, it did...

I respectfully disagree....that news cycle has gone bye-bye...remember that short attention span of Americans.

But maybe those stories can be kept alive by real journalists...

 

That was very convenient for Trump to turn up late and miss the tests. If an athlete missed a drug test they would be suspended so why was he allowed to continue. Perhaps Trump had already tested positive before the debate but insisted that he felt ok and deliberately missed the test. I wondered how Trump supposedly went from no symptoms to needing hospital treatment so quickly

 

Do you think he will do better in the 2nd and 3rd debates (if they happen) after what happened in the 1st? He would have to come back really strong for the 1st one to blow over completely, IMO.
