Cool when was that? I can find many with them wearing mask as well....was this before or after the experts changed their minds?
Actually I'm glad you mentioned that Look at the contrast. Trump and his people don't take the virus seriously and it sweeps through the White House and even into the Pentagon. More than 35 infections Harris DOES take it seriously and only TWO cases have popped up
I quoted YOUR "they" . But no the President has been nothing if not INCONSISTENT. If you want any amount of credibility don't even try to dispute that
Nah, he's been pretty consistent since the experts flipped on it. Wear one when you can't property social distance.
I personally don't care what Fauci has to say, he's a hypocrite of the tallest order, and he and the "task force" want to be known as the saviors of medicine. Which is absolutely laughable. The politicization of the virus is absolutely hilarious, but it may well succeed in getting rid of orange man bad and thus at least making some people less upset.
Well, look man...I can't say that....the experts were giving the advice they had at the time: https://www.businessinsider.com/fauci-doesnt-regret-advising-against-masks-early-in-pandemic-2020-7
I'm neither fine nor not fine with it. Fauci has been on both sides of the fence, for him to cry now that his "words are taken out of context" is actually him saying "Well, I donated to Hillary's campaign and I'd rather Joe to win." No, he's not saying it verbatim but you know it and I know it. And it's honestly unprofessional. But Fauci has always been unprofessional. So none of this behavior from him, is anything new. Has ANYTHING from the task force worked? Serious question, has any of it worked? It hasn't. Buying more PPE isn't going to magically change this, wearing more masks isn't going to magically change this. What will change this, is operation Warp Speed which I hope continues regardless of administration. The sooner therapeutics come out, the sooner more treatments are available the better off we all are.
No actually not. His words were demonstrably and dishonestly taken out of context. He was NOT praising Trump at all. He was praising his medical team
You mean this bit "We were told in our task force meetings that we have a serious problem with the lack of PPEs," ? You do know that Trump was a member of this task force, don't you, and would have given Fauci the go-ahead with the public announcement against wearing masks even though Trump knew that masks were a benefit?
A medical team that has done...what exactly? So he heaped praise upon himself for 200K deaths?(using Democrats framing of the crisis). Again, the blowhard is a blowhard and has been a blowhard since this has started. Given that his "advice"(for what it's been worth) has been a constant, the idea that the message isn't out or distorted in anyway is absolutely laughable. Especially with that study out and I know they're trying to split hairs and say "well, they're not saying they caught it wearing the mask", but yeah. The mask isn't a protector of the virus. And in fact, the great spreaders appear not to entirely or mostly be public gatherings, but private and intimate ones where people get close and thereby can spread the virus(whether they wear a mask or not)(see: Churches). And then the ventilation of the air in restaurants seem to be a big factor but we wouldn't know that until like a month and a half ago(thank you CDC/WHO, and other lame duck organizations.) '
Trump was no a member of the task force....second, Trump didn't know...he only knew what the experts told him, and according to the experts he followed and relayed whatever they told him
Experts are good when their advice becomes unquestioned, but when they're wrong, they want to pin it either on Trump or something else. Instead of simply calling Fauci the blowhard that he is.
Yes he was, through Pence. Trump even presented himself as the spokesman when giving press conferences on the progress of the task force. Trump is a liar
I am not sure what you mean 'through" Pence....I mean it's true that they all worked for the Executive Branch and reported to the President...but he wasn't "on the task force"
“CDC recommends all people 2 years of age and older wear a mask in public settings and when around people who don’t live in your household, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.” http://www.politicalforum.com/index.php?threads/fauci-not-surprised-trump-got-covid.579987/page-3 You can still catch it in HOUSEHOLD from a HOUSEHOLD member. Which is why I have some masks for in household, but that is a pain, and maybe not safe to not wear one when Snot Factory school worker is around in the HOUSEHOLD, and they just found 10 kids with it, and one was seen without a mask. Each person must make their own choices, because the CDC just said, right there, people who don't live in household are the problem, not the household member that goes out in public too. “COVID-19 spreads mainly among people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet), so the use of masks is particularly important in settings where people are close to each other or where social distancing is difficult to maintain.” (ibid) “People who are engaged in high intensity activities, like running, may not be able to wear a mask if it causes difficulty breathing. If unable to wear a mask, consider conducting the activity in a location with greater ventilation and air exchange (for instance, outdoors versus indoors) and where it is possible to maintain physical distance from others.” (ibid) CDC calls it "source control"; and when the masks they wear are a piece of crap, Trump...being the only one in a room full of mask wearing people, still not safe. People without Covid-19, walking down the sidewalk outdoors with nobody within a hundred feet on a windy day, is way too much overkill. That said, Yes, Trump most likely got it because he wasn't following guidelines, and his household members could have got it from him because the CDC is more worried about "people who don’t live in your household."
"News journalists and hell average people are given leeway to be wrong, simply because they don't have the right intel. But Trump KNEW! He alone knew and was obligated to inform the nation when he was informed! He's President after all, the buck stops with him!" "Hell, had he been transparent from the start the debate on our freedoms would've been greatly minimized as we would've trusted the government with said freedoms. Instead everyone understandably acted with the information they knew at the time. It's time to turn the page on Trump." "That it's now accurate to compare the Trump and Chinese governments should show how damning, how inhumane Trump actually was during the early days of the crisis. But you wanna know who's really going to be upset? The families of these nearly 200k individuals who've tragically passed. Pretty large amount of people to lie to." "The truth of the tapes has set us free. He's no Patriot or a Nationalist, he's a self serving jackass who thinks of himself." So why have you forgiven Trump?
