Obama Slams Trump, Stumps for Biden During Speech in Philadelphia

I think that if he wanted to devote that much time to stumping for Biden he might as well have run for nomination himself and probably would win by a landslide.

 

Obama's speech yesterday is getting much more worldwide airtime than either Biden or Trump received

 

Holy crap! How far the mighty have fallen! There was almost nobody on hand to listen to Barack Obama's usual round of Hope and Change lies. But then again the last few times Obama spoke inside Dem Party stronghold states, there was very little by way of party faithful turnout.

The thing is that now the MSM is no longer HOWLING about how Barack walks on water 24/7/365 people have had time to think about it . . . about Barack's endless badmouthing this nation, his endless warmongering and his endless race agitating and finally have come to realize that Barack and the MSM jointly conned them for eight years.

Which simply demonstrates that the polls are inaccurate. If Biden believes he has to get surrogates out in PA, it means, rightly, that they think they are losing it. The Biden gun grab language on his website alone could flip PA, and WI, and MN, and MI, and well, there's a list.

 

Is this the same Obama who stated that Trump won't run... Trump won't get the nomination..... Trump won't be president..... And now saying Trump won't win reelection???

Obama's record regarding Trump is staggering.. I'm glad he's stumping for Beijing Biden considering how accurate he's been over the last 4 years.

I don't quite agree. I think the impact of yesterday's speech by Obama would have been much less if people had been seeing him on the campaign trail for months.

 

Obama is another dirty politician who has been trying to overthrow the government since he left office. Worthless!

 

But Pennsylvania *is* a swing state, and after 2016, I wouldn't just blindly trust the polls and think that it's in the bag. That was precisely Hillary's mistake. And turning these 3 states blue is easier than turning Texas so it makes sense to invest there. I think the Biden campaign put some money in Texas not truly hoping to flip it, but rather, forcing Trump to defend it so that Trump is less equipped to reverse the current Biden advantage in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.

Again, the important thing is to get 270 EC votes. The path to get there is less important than actually getting there. So if the Biden ticket loses Texas but wins Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, and remember, they are predicted to flip Arizona too, they can afford to lose elsewhere (Texas, Florida, North Carolina) and still win the election. So I don't really get why you think that their strategy is not sound.

Sure, 4% in Texas seems to be within striking distance, but remember, Texas being so populous, 4% is still a huge number of voters who need to change their minds.

Usually big advantages for the challenger narrow down as election day approaches (the incumbent always has an advantage especially if there are October surprises making people nervous, the Devil known being always better than the Devil unknown), especially given that some of Biden's advantage came from a bump after the first debate and that can change (for one thing, maybe Trump will do better than him tonight). So it makes all the sense in the world to try and conserve the edge in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan, flip Arizona, and win the other Hillary states; game over. No need to spend a fortune in Texas and it looks like not even in Florida which is turning towards Trump more and more. Which is OK because Trump won Florida in 2016 anyway so it doesn't change the Electoral College calculation.

 

It was evident that Obama's role was to get people out to vote. He was there to energize and encourage voting. Two weeks before the election is the PERFECT time to do that.

 

So Obama is lying when he said this election has dire consequences for the future of the US? I think there might be another reason why he's out there now. He believes the polls are bogus just like the last election.

 

Politicians say that about every election.

 

With only 2 weeks left to election day most people have already made up there minds and have already started voting. I think voters see this late entry by Obama shows he is not truly committed to a Biden presidency since he is not putting in much of an effort to campaign for Biden. Obama is targeting black men which tells me there is concern they will not get out an vote.

 

So Democrats are not really concerned that another Trump presidency will destroy our democracy and standing with the world? And why is Obama stumping in Biden's home state instead of a state like Texas?

 

That'd be great if he was running for president but he is not. And why did he feel the need to go to Biden's home state and stump for Biden instead of going to a state like Texas?

 

I didn't catch Obamas' speach, did the cameras ever pan the audience to see just how many people showed up?

 

When was the last time Texas came close to turning blue? That's the answer

 

The parking lot was full. They were all instructed to attend in their cars.

 

The other question is why Democrats believe PA could swing Trump's way? Is Biden just not the popular in his home state? If not there then where is he popular? Obama could have gone to Florida or Michigan that are swing states.
