Did you read the last paragraph? It's utter garbage, lie stacked on lie. FDR at least gave us one if the most reassuring lines in any political speech, "The only thing we have to fear us fear it's self. Bude by contrast tells us we should all go home and cry in our beer because it isn't going to get any better and it's all the fault of the other guy and his supporters.

Trump is a failed businessman... and no surprise, he ran a failed Presidency, he is leaving with the USA on the edge of Bankruptcy

Fake news. His presidency has been very successful with a great economy till a global pandemic hit. Even then we've been improving dramatically. Everyone knows Biden will make sure to kill it again.

My, my Grandma, what big teeth you have. You do realize that was a political con, don't you? You guys are being stroked and duped by some of the most vicious people in this land. With Trump there is no sophistry. Neither he nor his supporters fawn at images.

fake news, the economy was on the verge of collapse before the pandemic hit

the fed was dumping tons of cash into the economy and even thinking of lowering interest rates

that doesn't happen during a 'great' economy

No it wasn't. Democrats have been telling us that since Trump was elected. Fake news.

it most certainly was, that was just one dump of many

all months before covid..... some say Trump wanted the virus to spread and the reason Trump shutdown the economy is that he knew the economy was failing, and the only way for him to inject trillions into the mega corps was to use the virus crisis to do so, if that did not work, he would blame it on the virus, win\win either way as far as Trump was concerned

is this why Trump played down the Virus?

Please point out the lies. I bet you can't, just like the OP can't point out the hate in the speech. All you Trump voters have is clinging to the distorted image Trump and Fox news have painted of the man, and you think it must be the truth.

One it isn't either Trump's fault or that of his supporters. 2. Trump has said repeatedly that he cares about the families who have lost love ones to this disease. Of course if you watch the alphabet soup media you never heard it.

Buy the way if Biden had to channel a former Demicrats Politician why not do JFK or FDR instead if George Wallace or Orville Faubus.

You know, we have spent FOUR YEARS trying very hard to correct you folks on the extreme right, to inform you, to change you, and to reason with you. And it has proven to have been a fruitless, wasted four-year effort. I, for one, am done trying to reason with your kind, because the practical effect of doing so is to be held in place, continually rehashing the logic and evidence, spinning or wheels, and making no progress on moving forward. Now with Trump out of the picture shortly, we will be free to move forward. And so we can ignore your kind without concern.

How does Biden fix the irresponsibility of the Trump administration, the Republican Party, and rightwing media?

The fact of the matter is there were no “irregularities” that would have changed the result of this election. Stating the fact is not divisive.

Pretending there were and running a scorched earth public relations campaign is divisive. Stating that fact is not divisive.

Now it is irregular that citizens had expanded access to exercise their right to vote this cycle. If that is the issue than simply state it, “we do not want some citizens exercising their right to vote”. Don’t target them, try to exclude their ballots, and erroneously label them cheaters for exercising their right. Take responsibility for your point view.

Biden nor anyone else is responsible for the behavior and actions of the Trump administration, Republican Party, or rightwing media.

Only the Trump administration, Republican Party, and rightwing media
can rectify the damage—the division—their behavior has caused by taking responsibility for it.

Nancy Reagan hated Trump - thought he was a clown. Nancy's was the backbone of that marriage. Reagan would not have voted for Trump.

So, directly, there are ~57K folks employed at the mines themselves. From those jobs roughly 4-6 other jobs are dependent. And from the production of the energy that is produced, something like ~100 Million people get their electricity. (including all businesses in those same geographic areas) which wouldn't have electricity without coal. It might not be the "future" but for a huge swath of the nation and their ability to live and contribute, it is the present. So, forgive me believing you simply don't care about these folks from you comment. And the pejorative nature of your response sure demonstrates that. It must be comforting for you to believe you are above the unwashed you so vilify and fear....

So you agree, the future of the nation is NOT coal, but you use a weird twisted logic to hate me for simply pointing out something you basically agree with.

    Whatever.

I suppose that's the best apology to the people aggrieved by you are ever going to get.... Tell me, where do you suppose the replacement jobs these folks are about to lose are going to come from?

My career path has been altered twice by changes in technology. Was it scary? Yes. But I educated myself on the new trends (much as coal workers could
do with solar and wind generation jobs, which far outnumber coal work) and ended up making more money than I would have in the old career. Do I feel
for them, yes. Do I think it's the end of their road? No. So take that how you will.

You basically know nothing about the energy industry. Again, where will these jobs come from? How many folks are you willing to displace because you don't care about them or their communities and lives?

You act as though the shift from coal is going to be accomplished in 30 seconds ... it's lunacy to act that way. Slow shift, sure. It's simply the intelligent
path over the next decade and the way the market is going. So it's asinine for you to paint me as the "bad guy" when the entire market has
been shifting that way for years.

But of course, if you want to bestow upon the godly powers of energy, I'll take it (be sure to include $29.95 to the Daniel Light is the Energy god Fund).

Ok, a shift to what? That is the open question. And frankly not having any answer is what I expect from you. So, you dissemble to worm you way out of the box you crafted for yourself. You assume folks will find jobs? But it isn't your place to demonstrate from where... Much like all democrats, you have zero understanding or appreciation for folks and their dignity.
