It's very to effect arrests during something like that, each arrest takes one or two units our of service for transport, leaving more work for the remainder to handle, better to MACE them and then have units outside, if there are any take them down.

And since dye's a person, a clear UV activated dye, that is very hard wash off they, can be found away from the scene during an interview if needed.

And of course their hundreds of surveillance HD cameras in and around the FED who always have plenty of time will be able to ID even more of them.

Well, she did help get Trump suspended from social media and was partly responsible for finally getting the administration to promise a peaceful transition of power.
A great service to the country even if it was not what she intended.

Forget the claim, it is now the established practice. Not ONE Democratic protester - anywhere - not storming and taking over a capital, not looting, not committing arson, not committing assault - has been shot and killed. Merely using tear gas was condemned by the MSM and Democratic Party - even outlawed by Democratic federal judges.

Why am I the only person condemning her being killed and pointing out the extreme double standard of do nothing to Democrats forcibly taking over a Capital building - and killing a Republican merely for trying to?

She was UNARMED. She poised a deadly threat to NO ONE. The Capital is NOT a home. None of those protesters had firearms. The Capital police had tasers, tear gas and tazers.

I see NO legal justification for shooting her. NONE. It was outright minimally manslaughter. If so, what law is it? What law allowed gunning down that unarmed protester? Cite that law.

Why couldn't shop owners shoot looters coming thru a broken window? Why didn't police shoot those looters? SERIOUSLY, explain the legal defense to shooting that unarmed protester.

I have condemned her action. I have neither condemned nor supporter her death. Because I don't know the details. I have specifically said that I'm not sure whether or not the shooting was justified. I still don't.

All around the Free World we have been looking at the United States as a model.
One of the columns of the American model was [I hope to be still able to say "is"] that the President is the President of all.

Now, in 2015 I was predicting the victory of Trump [when no one gave him credit] on the base of an evidently correct reading of the US electoral system [you need to win more states, not more popular votes, to become President]. Moreover, I trusted Trump. I'm a person who never denies the past. I trusted Trump [he reminded me Berlusconi ...]. And to say all, the first years were quite good [from the perspective of a Conservative like me, obviously].

But the last year has changed all for me [and for Italian Americans, as for I know].
If I had to summarize a political judgment I will say that the President has derailed.

Now, 13 days are 13 days. Personally I wouldn't add drama to drama. The impeachment of a President would be a further disruptive event for the American democracy. Now he says he's going to ensure a peaceful transition ... nice. It's too late, but it's nice.

My suggestion for Americans is: close this book and start to write a new one.

Not really freaked out about it myself, I consider the group that did this no different than the crazies on the left that did insane stuff over the summer of love, its unfortunate and I denounce all activities such as this, but it is what it is.

The only bright spot that MIGHT come out of this is that government officials are now realizing that their little safe space isn't exactly safe like they thought and this is just a taste of what business owners around the country faced when out of control mobs with extreme positions do.

So I'm kind of glad that the lawmakers had an opportunity to understand just what it feels like to be overrun by a mob. Maybe next time they will be more sympathetic to what others have experienced.

I was never under the illusion Trump was a good person...

I believed Trump wanted to put America first (and I still believe that, to an extent), and I believe most Democrats are a cancer. Only reason I voted for him.

If an option of "third party, young person who wants to legalize pot and limit government" was available, I'd have gone that route.
