Melania delivers her farewell message to the country. It is well written. It's a shame that Donald Trump can't overcome his sour grapes and leave the White House with grace and dignity.

 

It was well written but that didn't change the fact I had to try hard to prevent throwing up.

Yet, somehow she can't be bothered to keep with the tradition of inviting the incoming First Lady for a tour of the WH.

@LoneStarGal I'm not big into mega-models as human beings, but she handled everything about as well as she could have and people still keep prying, leaking, assuming, attacking her. If I'm in her shoes, I'm just leaving. Has any 1st Lady undergone such fallacious attack like she had to since 2016?

She does 't want to do that because when she grew up in Communist Yugoslavia they did not have elections so there was never anyone new to welcome. Of course she felt right at home with the doicator wannabe aka the Trumpocity.

 

She's a very private person, an introvert, but she has a beautiful heart and her appreciation for this country's sovereignty, freedoms and love is clear. Seems recent migrant citizens who were not spoiled by generations of comfort and security, which we take for granted due to the very success of "the American way", know how quickly it can all disappear.

Melania's speech was lovely and inspiring.

I don't really have an opinion of her, but I don't believe wearing a jacket with "I don't really care. Do you?" painted on the back is something a person with a "beautiful heart" would do.

Until Malanka was 19 Slovenia was not an independent country so Slovenia was a province of the artificial "country " called Yugoslavia.
Josip Broz Tito was the Communist dictator of Yugoslavia.

And before you go off on another BS rage and falsely accuse me of not knowing anything about Slavic names Malanka is a knickname for Malanlia ( a substitute foMalania ) in parts of the Slavic speaking world.
