    Which is the main reason Ivanka Trump will never be elected to anything, unless her father can find a spot where she can run uncontested, then she might win. Thinking Ivanka Trump will be POTUS is fantasy.

    So then why in the actual hell did we just waste millions of American tax dollars on this nonsense? Surely SOMEBODY in Congress would have known about that little technicality right?

    The point of my post was to point out that just because you think its a fantasy, doesn't mean that it can't happen. One of the main reasons that Trump won was because people did not believe he could win. That Hillary was going to win because Trump was unelectable. As a result the turnout for Dems was lower than it should have been.

    But hey, you keep disregarding it if you want to repeat past mistakes. No skin off my nose. :shrugs:

    Of course he did. Unlike a justice trial, they knew they were doing to lose at the end, but the purpose was not winning or losing but to dirty up Trump because like teenage girls "we hate him".

    So we shall see what they do next. They have to keep throwing pogy bait to the press or they might have to insist on answers from Biden's teleprompter.

    Yes, I agree with the general idea, but the Trump name is toxic. I'm not saying a longshot can't win, just this longshot.

    On the contrary, it REALLLLLY lowers the ball for what is an "impeachable offense"...

    Especially considering everyone was well aware neither attempt had anywhere close to the support it needed, but, we went ahead with it anyway to try and prove a point.

    Waste of time and money... meanwhile, we still don't have our stimulus checks we were promised.

    But, **** us, I guess.

    The autocrats win in this first round, but what could you expect, the tyrants were the ones with the necessary numbers and no ethics or spines whatsoever.

    So Trump is now above the law, but that is only in Congress. We shall soon see how he fares in a courtroom on completely different charges and against a jury of his peers, not his cronies.
