Nikki Haley breaks with Trump: 'We shouldn't have followed him'

    I'll say one thing though, he's a lot closer to being a natural-born citizen than Kamala Harris is, and a lot more qualified as well.

    You know what Cruz's main plank of his first Senate run in 2012 was? That's right...."Build a Wall" between Texas and Mexico to keep illegals from entry. LOL

    Cruz expanded his state Tea Party (Nationalist) platform to a national level. Trump plagiarized most of Cruz's platform. The only difference was that Cruz was still sold on "free trade" ideas and Trump was talked into Chinese tariffs by Bannon and Manafort. And of course, the difference in Trump getting $2B in free media while media silenced Cruz by not covering his campaign, except for the "negatives".

    To be a natual born citizen requires one to be born on US soil to citizen parents. Harris was born on US soil to foreign parents, and is thus unqualified to be Vice President.

    I think every GOP candidate in 2016 except Jeb! supported some version of a wall.

    I agree, but 90% of the country seems not to. Take Nikki Haley for example, she's great. But when the going gets tough, Nikki punts. That's why the founders required one to be a natural-born citizen to be President or VP, because they are less likely to punt on our country; having been born here to citizen parents, rooted in our countries values and traditions.

    RINOs never wanted a wall, even in Texas. Cruz ran on the "Build the Wall" plank in July 2011 against RINO Senate incumbent David Dewhurst who thought he was in the seat for life until "outsider" Cruz beat him.

    In the 2016 primaries, Trump accused Cruz of stealing "the wall" idea from him. It was exactly the opposite. LOL

    Most of "the wall" was built during Obama's first term anyway, but stopped when it got to Texas because of many significant eminent domain battles. By 2011, Cruz was about the only one still battling in favor of a wall. Then Trump, in the 2015 primaries after Cruz continued the plank.

    yeh..the result of "absolute national sovereignty" nonsense, with no interest in creating global institutions to oversee prosperous development in all countries.

    Keynes had a shot at it in 1944 (see his "clearing union" and Bankor" concepts presented at the Bretton Woods conference to decide on new global postwar economic/financial arrangements); but the individual sovereignty fetishists won the day, of course.

    So Trump had no qualms about referring to the need for a wall, to keep out people escaping from "foreign s***holes"...

    I find that the Founding Fathers were wrong in that, and it's probably the only thing they were wrong in. I find it's not where a person is born, but rather where they were nurtured. I know people who were born here, and afterwards, never stepped in this country so that they are foreigners in everything. By the same token someone who comes at a young age and attends school here, is an American in everything.
