Kind of reminds me of the Haunted house Horror movie -- where from downstairs in this creepy place a voice is heard "Get Out" ..

And of course what do the actors in the movie do ? -- Into the basement they go ..

This was a targeted attack .. A US occupied area .. some small group claiming responsibility - wanting the US out of Iraq .. given as the justification .. so rather than from the basement .. this one in the form of a note "Get Out"

Who this group was affiliated to matters not - Al Qaeda/IS , Iran , or some partially "affiliated" band of upstarts .. one of hundreds in the region ..sharing the common dream .. "Get Out"

So strong is this voice in Iraq - their Parliament passed a bill some time ago .. just before Covid - if memory serves. "Get Out"

and now that Covid is passing and things starting to get back to normal - the call rings out anew .. "Get Out"

So yes .. we have lost the ME. Russia/China will be rebuilding Syria/Iran/Iraq. . and The EU .. don't forget them .. now China's biggest trading Partner and/or vice versa

US corps will be on the sidelines watching .. Oman - Qatar are favorable towards Iran .. playing both sides of the fence while Turkey - is unfavorable to Iran .. but plays on both sides of another fence .. Russia/China ... so they are no great allies.

Sure we have El Saud ..Good ol Brother El Saud .. who we were allied with in 2 rather nasty wars last decade .. Biden-Obama-El Saudo ... arm in arm .. with Al Qaeda and the Islamic State as our Proxy forces .. our weapons of war. War Crimes/ Crimes against humanity - that kind of thing .. the stuff we are famous for..

which is why in the ME .. we should perhaps "Get Out"
cause this has been nothing but a horror movie of our own creation ... for which we paid 10 Trillion dollars.

You knew this was going to happen as soon as Biden was elected. All the bad actors are going to flex their muscle to see what reaction the USA will take. I'm sure all the arms dealers are rubbing their hands with glee as they would like nothing better than to foment another conflict in which the "Merchants of Death" can sell their weapons of destruction on one side and defensive weapons on the other side.

 

Biden should retaliate by sending Iran another plane full of cash.

Perhaps we will see some more war mongering under Biden.... Kind of think were pretty much done though .. no one left to attack of any significance .. Sans Iran of course .. but I don't think this is going to happen. maybe .

Wasn't Iran though .. and we have not been retaliating to the things Iran does do .. Carrot Top sat by and watch as Iran conducted a rather successful missile test on one of our bases.. and on our good buddy El Saud.

I'm tempted to say the Biden admin orchestrated this attack in order to justify building up troop strength in Iraq and by extension Afghanistan. You can forget about troop reductions with a Democrat in office.

It was reported to be 107 mm rockets. Iran manufacturers its own as knock-offs of China's version. 14 rockets coming in on the same target would not be suggestive of improvised launches propping them up on mounds of sand. I have also seen reports that two iranian built launchers have been recovered that were attached to exploded vehicles in the region.

 

I know when I was there all the rocket remains EOD gathered during crater analysis showed the rockets were manufactured in Iran. I doubt much has changed since then.

I heard this happened in the Kurd section of Iraq which might complicate things.

Hmmm one thing here though .. we are talking "Iraq" here. so such rockets could have been from anywhere .. former Yugoslavia .. you name it .. Stuff from the war in Syria .. which of course spilled over into Iraq when part of Iraq became part of the Islamic State.

Could have been US weapons for that matter - have to check the Inventory of the Islamic State .. Something like this would do the trick..



That is a really fancy soviet model .. A captured Russian one in the inventory of the Islamic State .. many smaller versions from any number of nations .. stuff that is much more high tech than the rockets used by the Palestinians..

but could have been Iranian too .. lots of Iranian stuff on the market. Most folks have a smaller version of a sophisticated rocket technology in their basement in Iraq/Syria and Most of it was Supplied by the US and Partners - not "Iran" and Partners.

If not in this case .. then in others - weapons that we supplied will be used against us...
