Well as supplies of shots become available, your state ought to designate enough of them for second shots. Right?

No idea what they will do or when that will happen. They kept the second shot initially earmarked but then were told use them or lose them so they may or may not have used all their shipments up depending on whether or not the department of health is being honest.

A compromise to your position and my position might be to “save the ones without the life vests” and then save the ones with the life vests randomly. By “randomly” I mean make the vaccine available to hospitals, doctors offices, clinics, or any place you could get a flu shot. Or have the National Guard set up large scale vaccination operations. Then just let the general public go get them. Make your appointment, first come first serve.

It's all about saving lives which seems pretty noble.
We have already given enough first shots to cut the death rate in half.
Had we done it your way it would probably be 3%.

I think that changed when Biden started giving them forecasts.
Now the well run states look like this.

With zero proof behind your claim at all. Keep in mind, more people would be vaccinated under my plan than the current plan.

    Sure there is proof.
The CDC numbers show 59% of deaths have been in people over 75.
We don't have a shortage of people to vaccinate yet. We have a shortage of vaccine.
It's a simple matter to open vaccination up to more people as the vaccine becomes available.

The drop in positive tests is largely due to a change in PCR protocol to reduce the false positives. It’s technical, but the experts may have missed an important factor that led to this decrease: the test that is used to diagnose the presence of COVID-19 in patients has been changed recently to make it less sensitive, thus rejecting false positives that simply muddied up the numbers.
Now that vaccinations are up, it is illness is expected to fall very fast due to the uncounted number of immune, but false positive persons not vaccinated, but not spreading or ill.

The limiting factor is the availability of the VACCINE!

Very few situations have limited injecting the vaccine to somebody.

In the main two hospitals I am at frequently, on Friday after 12 noon, lower priority people (family members, contractors, long term visitors, etc) can line up and any defrosted vaccine is given until gone.

No vaccine is wasted whatsoever, except for nutcase anti-vaxers who destroy it or block the lines.

Okay, no data for Feb 15th, but 52.9 million on 2/14 and 55.2 million on 2/16. Therefore, the prediction of 54 million vaccinated on 2/15 was spot on. The rate of 1.3-fold increase every week holds. Let's see what 2/23 brings, and if we can sustain. If we can, it would mean 1/3 of the country should have received their first dose at the end of the first week of March.

The mis-named vaccine does not confer immunity, and the manufacturers admit that.

The injection is gene manipulation by way of inserting random RNA and proteins on a nano level. Moderna has been working on it for years.

No RNA or protein is "inserted". The mRNA is short lived and the synthesized spike protein lives for maybe a week. Aside from the immune system response, there is no permanent change to the body.

If it was a change in the PCR protocol used in the tests, the change in new infections should have been immediate. It was not. New infections went down because there are no holidays in January, and we were coming down from the Christmas/ New Year's parties-induced wave. .

Our system vaccinated thousands and are working through second shots now. Got mine yesterday. I have not heard of any problems with supply or delivery. I believe it was one and all not a targeted group. Older people naturally come out but younger people are still invincible so they aren't so eager.

Because there was no change in the PCR tests.
Only a reminder to check calibration.

Social media posts and online articles claim the World Health Organization admitted that PCR tests are resulting in widespread false positives for the virus that causes Covid-19, and asked laboratories to change the way they are conducted. But a January 2021 WHO notice only reminded labs to ensure testing equipment is properly calibrated, following reports of a small number of both false positive and negative results.

Random? Inserting into what? Nano level? gene manipulation? Proteins? Are you ever going into any details other than posting random words?

Yes, I am a professor teaching chemistry and doing research in biochemistry, nothing covid related, though. The exponential function is one of my favorite hobbies, that's why I bring it up whenever I can :).

The trend line has widened between test and hospitalizations. We should be looking at a Super Bowl spike in a few days?
Same here. Wife and I got ours at a grocery store pharmacy, 2/7 and have an appointment for the second in May I think.

My arm felt like someone punched me, my wife's was OK. We had a slight headache and felt something was off, but all is well now.

What “exponent” are you claiming. that slope looks pretty linear to me.
