    I watched it and came to the conclusion that President Biden is completely full of crap and sometimes intentionally lying about things that he has to know aren't true. He did seem to be reading notes much of the time. He evaded questions by wandering into a completely different subject (like infrastructure when asked about gun control). He spoke so expansively and no reporter dared interrupt him (my guess is they were told ahead of time that they would never be back if they did) that I can't help thinking he was doing it so he could avoid Fox reporters' questions, as well as too many questions (oops out of time). Can't help comparing to the way they would interrupt President Trump, but again, they were most likely warned ahead of time. He actually said that children starved to death while waiting on the other side of the border, that there are election lines where no one is allowed to have a drink of water while they wait, that some polling places want to close at 5:00 (why no reporter asking "really, where is that?"), that most of the migrants are being turned away and that most Republican voters agree with him. These are outrageous lies. I have tried to make excuses for him, that he is only saying what he's been told to say, but these are things he must know aren't true, or at least better be fact checked before he says them. Plus, after all his talk about division and unity, he made it clear he has no plans to work with Republicans, that they can either agree with him or scat. Also, President Trump's ideas about infrastructure always dealt with fixing bridges and such; clearly Biden's idea is to usher in the green new deal as an infrastructure bill. Not a single question asked about the crushing of the pipeline, while he's talking about poor people who are unemployed. No one called him on why his administration is importing coronavirus through the southern border if it's such a big priority of his. Most of these reporters were a disgrace and President Biden is a disappointment.

    Trump lost in 2020 and the Republicans still gained in the House. I don't know what fantasy land you live in where the party without the White House retains the congress. It'll be like 2010 all over again.

    You would have a point if I had mentioned the Senate. We had to wait a few years to retake the Senate under Obama and we are capable of waiting again.

    I suppose most saw in the Joe Biden performance what they wanted to see. Expectations for Joe are about as low as can be, so as long as he didn't do something that removes all doubt as to whether he is senile or not, you have to believe he exceeded expectations. If you are looking for signs of dementia, there is this gem:



    Even so, Joe Biden will always be judged by a different standard than all other presidents in that almost nobody actually voted for Joe Biden. They voted against Donald Trump. So if Joe Biden is enfeebled either a little or a lot, most people aren't going to care as long as he doesn't wet himself on stage. He went to the press conference and he wasn't Donald Trump. That was enough in most people's eyes.
