Because that isn't a right you have. In order to impose that, you have to assume or mandate politicians forgo their right to religious belief. That's a violation of the constitution.

No - freedom FROM religion is protecting the rights of those who do not want to pay for or be subjected to religion within the government. If you choose to worship - it is your right to do so. No one is taking away that right. But with separation of church and state, freedom from religion is a right.

it's all or none, usually Christians push for none, the minute another belief wants equal time, they do not want to share indoctrination time with others

And if I desire to express my belief publicly, even in the public square, is that allowed?

This is just a platitude argument with no basis or backup. Nothing even debatable. Essentially, a worthless post with no context.

Is that a serious question? Is there some reason you think you can’t do that? I assure you that you can talk about whichever god you believe in to anyone who will listen.

    "

Nothing if you believe in supernatural beings I guess. If you want to believe in supernatural beings go ahead, lots don't and even those that do can't all agree on which one. Did you ever notice it wasn't in there for decades and no one complained?

Religious faith doesn't. I don't mind religions in their historical context be taught in history classes but that means all religions not just one.

the problem is that it's the teacher leading the religious indoctrination, when the first Muslim trys to make their kids say Muslim Prayers, you can bet, Christians will be right there complaining

and would you support having "In NO god we Trust" stamped on our money or added to our pledge?

the point is, the government should stay neutral, not decide for you

the gov should not be pushing "In God we Trust" or "In NO god we Trust"

the biggest flaw in the thinking of that bill is that school shootings also happen in Christian schools, so prayer does not stop school shootings

Be advised that many people find having your designated magic man in the sky shoved in the face of their children at school objectionable -- just like you would probably object to religions you find objectionable being promoted at school. Schools are for academic learning. Not for social engineering, government brain washing and/or religious brain washing. If you can provide some proof of your God's existence perhaps that proof can be presented in a school science class.

BTW. I am extremely conservative and I don't believe that supernatural magic or brainwashing of children has any place being taught or pandered to in public school.

Why does anyone have to carry around a magic book in school. What if someone's religion is being a Nazi. Can they carry around a copy of Mein Kamph?

Your magic book supports slavery and genocide. Yet that book is where your morality comes from.

If you think life start at conception, where does the extra soul come from when a zygote splits into identical twins which is after conception.

Who said anything about the government pushing "In God We Trust" on school children, or on anyone for that matter?

Would you be be content with pushing "In Government You Trust" on anyone or on yourself?

you were just saying how upset you were the phrase "God Bless America" from schools... lol

when a religion needs to be forced on people, that is a sign of it being a bad one

I don't know why not. They could also tattoo a Nazi swasticker on their forehead and that would be their choice. So a child carrying a bible to school is of course all right to do so.
