What's Wrong with saying "God Bless America"?

Has anyone noticed how many liberal elites demand tolerance for LGBTQ, Black Lives Matter, Shemale-Transgendered access to Men's Restrooms and other absurd left-leaning causes.... But are extremely INTOLERANT of anything they don't agree with?

Liberals with the help of the racist ACLU organization have successfully removed the phrase "God Bless America" from schools and other institutions across our great country.

 

Well, you shouldn't tell God what to do...he doesn't like that...maybe he blesses everyone or no one... and which god?... there are many...every nation has god on its side, as religious wars inform us...let god speak for itself, if it exists.

 

You missed the message completely. This isn't about what God says...its about what we American citizens are saying, or what we're allowed or not allowed to say concerning God. Again, the immoral anti God liberal elites have removed God from our schools and other institutions.

"In God We Trust" and "Under God" were not added to the currency or the pledge until the 1950's in an effort to combat the rise of communism. Religion has absolutely no place in public schools. That goes for EVERY religion...

It has nothing to do with what American citizens are saying or what you are allowed to say regarding God. Please read your own thread and stop making **** up. American citizens, including students, are free to say "God bless America." It has to do with the government subsidizing the phrase.

 

What in the world are you talking about? Where did I mention or even give notion of the government subsidizing the phrase "God Bless America"? Stop making **** I said liberals and the ACLU are responsible for removing "God Bless America" from our schools and other institutions. Open your eyes!

 

The only way in which they are doing so is in the form of government subsidies. They aren't trying to prevent students form saying the phrase. They don't want taxpayer dollars going to promoting the phrase . . . also known as a subsidy. Open your eyes!

Every time the school promotes it or they use school property to promote it or someone on the clock promotes it . . . yes. Thats' the whole point. That's the only thing the ACLU is trying to stop. No one is trying to make it illegal for a student to simply say "God Bless America" at school. This is just like the whole "they are trying to outlaw prayer in school" lie, and for the same reason.

What you are saying here is that someone-anyone in a school setting promotes or merely says the phrase "GOD Bless America"--that that act in itself needs to be removed, or some school child that has large letters on his or her school book saying "GOD Bless America" needs to be removed from the premises. Are these children allowed to carry a Bible into their classrooms? Can Catholic school children be allowed to sport a forehead ash on Ash Wednesday? Is there any stop to having the government, ACLU or lib elites in controlling and or cancelling any religious symbols in our schools?

 

If you think that's what I'm saying, then you are either lying or you haven't bothered to read. Try again. This time actually read. I'll try to make it easier for you: students are allowed to pray, to carry a bible, to say "God Bless America," etc. Neither I nor the ACLU is arguing against that. What I and the ACLU are against are using taxpayer funds to promote such a belief. Please stop making **** up and try reading.

 

Obviously that's what god wants to happen. After all, god is all powerful and everything that happens is according to his plan. So really you should be angry at whichever god you worship.

Agreed. The OP is confusing. The bible supports separation of church and state and tells people not to pray in public. Hmmm...must not be the Christian god.

 

Since when are taxpayer funds being allocated for a person's own religious beliefs or activities involving school children? You make no sense.

 

Every time school property was used to promote it or taxpayer funded employees were promoting it on the clock. Which is what I'm against the ACLU is against. Not sure why you hate that thought. Why should my tax money go to subsidizing religion?

 

How exactly is yours or my tax monies subsidizing a school child saying 'God Bless America', or a school child wearing a Christ crucifix across around their neck, or a child bringing a Bible into the classroom, or even a child(s) singing God Bless America inside a school setting?

 

No one is trying to make it illegal for a school child to say "God Bless America." They can wear a crucifix. They can carry a Bible with them. All the ACLU, or I, want is that we don't use school resources to promote this, which is something that regularly happened when I was in public school as a kid. I seriously don't know how I can dumb this down any more. What aren't you able to understand?
