Guys. many of you are wrong because you distort the teaching of Jesus and repeat written by lying MSM fairy tales
reading the bible cover to cover was definitely eye-opening, of course now I am no longer Christian, once you see the truth, you can't unsee it
Do you know what an analogy is? The obvious point being a belief in a magical universe creating invisible man living in the sky is even more absurd than believing Santa is real. With respect to the Bible, Santa also has a book.
yep, and the bible gives guidance on what to do if ones daughter is raped http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Deuteronomy 22:28-29&version=NIV
Concubine Ancient Israelite men were allowed to have multiple wives and concubines. Do you prefer the modern American version with both sexes having multiple mating partners ?? .
What the Bible says: “When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are.
Where have you been ? Is it a revelation to you that slavery is allowed under God's law ?? Have you never heard the story of Abraham, Sarah his wife and Hagar his concubine ?? All Christians should know that story. Israelites are descended from Abraham/Sarah's son, Isaac. Many believe Arabs are descended from Abraham/Hagar's son, Ishmael. So now you know [contrary to what many now say]... slavery is NOT a "sin" [the Bible definition of "sin" is transgression of God's law.] .
Yes I have heard the story. Unlike many Christians I have actually read the Bible many times and was subjected to Christian brainwashing as a child. I know all of the fairy tales. The fact that you support slavery based on the Bible is hardly an endorsement of Christianity. Rather the slavery, genocide, and 2nd class treatment of women written about in the Bible show that Christianity reflects the morality and morals of bronze age goat herders.
Matthew 25:31-end does not suggest there is a way to heaven by works alone. It DOES suggest that there are requirements beyond simply believing in Jesus. One can be a Christian and find themselves in hell - or whatever you want to call the description in verse 41.
It was a law to prevent women from entering into marriage only to get an early release. https://emergencenj.org/blog/2019/01/04/does-the-bible-condone-slavery
My forefathers were Confederates. I'm sick and tired of morons WRONGLY calling slavery a "sin" As for women... if you have read the Bible as you say... then you know a married woman in the OT could buy and sell property and manage her own household and her own business. .
The mental gymnastics Christians perform to explain away the Bible's support of slavery are amazing. "When a man sells his daughter as a slave" seems like plain language to me.
Many abolitionists were Christians. Christians invented hospitals. https://www.gotquestions.org/Bible-slavery.html Jesus came to save us and to teach us how to live, not social reform.
Why people think that creep Abraham was such a big deal is silly; the only thing he brought to the table was the idea of whacking off guys' foreskins to get into the cult. Abraham is one of the most disgusting people in the Bible. He had no redeeming qualities. edit typo
Actually...ALL Christians are in name only. You will also find in heaven...people that were Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, Navajo, Atheist and all the rest. None of those labels will be needed....they were never needed in the first place.
One question I have about Hell is when did God create it? Was it before or after Adam and Eve were created, or before or after they ate the fruit? God said they would die if they ate, why not be honest and tell them they would burn and suffer for an eternity for that sin?
Funny video. Much inaccuracies however. Jesus will be our mediator and advocate with the Father after all we can do to repent and pay restitution. The free gift is actually immortality in the resurrection. Not that we will be forgiven just because we say we repent. Only after all we can do...
2Ephesians 2:19, "Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;"
Yawn....There is nothing evil about critical thinking. However, coming to a conclusion that causes someone to outwardly and pridefully mock God and deny the Holy Ghost can result in eternal condemnation and the knowledge that they could be with their faithful family in the Highest Kingdom of God.
If you believe this version, fine, but that would mean that Jesus states in Matthew 25 that your "citizenship" is revocable based on your actions.
