It used to be that 15 Billion dollars was an enormous sum of money. Why didn't Biden see this result of his failed policy ahead of time? States have sued Biden. Why must we taxpayers fund his fiascos? Also how do you like the skyrocketing of fuel prices? Are you aware fuel prices are added to the cost of all of your goods?
For anyone literate and not wanting to drive traffic to Fox News: Company behind Keystone XL seeks $15B in damages from US https://thehill.com/policy/energy-e...hind-keystone-xl-seeks-15b-in-damages-from-us The company behind the now-abandoned Keystone XL pipeline hopes to obtain more than $15 billion from the U.S. government, alleging damages from President Biden’s revocation of its permit for the project. TC Energy announced in a Friday press release that it had filed a notice of intent with the State Department’s Office of the Legal Adviser to “initiate a legacy North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) claim under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement.” The company, which announced last month that it was officially scrapping the pipeline project after Biden revoked a key permit on his first day in the Oval Office, said that it is seeking compensation for losses "suffered as a result of the U.S. Government’s breach of its NAFTA obligations." In March, a coalition of 21 states, led by Texas and Montana, filed a lawsuit against the Biden administration, arguing that the cross-border permit is a "regulation of interstate and international commerce" that should be decided by Congress. Strange how Republican states are now wanting this done by congress after cheering when it was approved by their cult leader… Seems like another 18 Billion due to trump’s incompetence Canadian oil destined for the Chinese market demanded by neopatriots as ‘America First’, strange bunch
Republicans want the pipeline no matter who gives it to them. And I don’t get your Chinese reference. what Biden and his Post-it notes don’t seem to know is there are thousands of miles of pipeline already in existence, and do you want to know why? It’s because thats the safes way to move oil. Without the pipelines oil and gas would have to move via trains and trucks which are not just more prone to accidents, but they pollute. Even my ex who is an environmental nut says we’re better off with the pipeline than without it when the environment is taken into consideration. by killing the pipeline, all Xiden did was prove that he’s taken orders from far left wing nut groups and putting Americans last yet again.
And now Biden is begging OPEC and Russia to INCREASE their output because prices are soaring. OPEC, Biden and Gas Prices The President wants the cartel to pump more oil, but the U.S. to pump less. As cognitive dissonance goes, this is a classic. President Biden’s explicit policy goal is to reduce U.S. oil and gas production, limiting the global supply of fossil fuels in the name of fighting climate change. Yet his Administration is now imploring the OPEC oil cartel to pump more oil so U.S. gasoline prices don’t rise more than they already have on Mr. Biden’s watch. Oil prices climbed to a six-year high on Tuesday after the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and Russia failed to agree on increasing production quotas. Last spring OPEC slashed production quotas after crude prices plunged to $20 per barrel amid economic lockdowns and a price war between Saudi Arabia and Russia.... https://www.wsj.com/articles/opec-biden-and-gas-prices-11625611235?mod=opinion_lead_pos1
Yes, that OPEC oil doesn’t pollute at all, they never have accidents and shipping it to us by sea is not a problem other than added cost and the Exxon Valdez.
Biden immediate went to work on raising fuel prices: Gas Prices Have Increased 40% Under Democrat Joe Biden, Analysts Issue Warning About Future Prices.
Think about this for a moment. For years the Little Guy raked in big bucks in foreign energy and the Big Guy got his ten percent. If the Little Guy is still somehow associated with those energy companies, or if any of the Big Guy’s friends are still with them, then It would make sense for Biden to ruin our gas industry and let his cut of the take grow even larger.
good luck with that, Trump tried to push this through via executive order, should have done it via congress if keystone won this case, then the dreamers should be able to sue to
especially when this had to do with fuel costs, last year Trump worked to cut supply so cost would go up "Trump told Saudi: Cut oil supply or lose U.S. military support" https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...se-u-s-military-support-sources-idUSKBN22C1V4 "Trump threatens 'very substantial' tariffs on imported oil if Saudi Arabia and Russia can't reach a deal to push prices back up" https://www.insider.com/trump-threatens-saudi-arabia-russia-oil-tariffs-2020-4
Just a side note, apparently this is a NAFTA tribunal that they are suing through. Might not be as easy that way, the way the permit is worded they cannot do this through American courts. I got this info from oilprice.com forums.
OPEC cartel is still the most influential movers of the oil market. I guess the UAE does not want to play ball and keep production where it is at, they will toy with it for a few months as this is to all their benefits.
Collecting bribes be "The Big Guy's" key competency. He fancies himself an expert on leverage as he demonstrated when he claim that his funding of a nationwide labor strike would result in higher wages. Right now it's resulting in shortages. By the 4th quarter I expect it will be clear that his approach isn't going to raise wages as well as Trump's secure borders and Americans First Trade Policy.
Biden just like Obama are being lobbied by the rail road. They lie and say it's about something else but it isn't.
So how come you didn’t quote the first part of your link? Instead you quoted the part which made it appear as tho the republicans sued him to stop the pipeline. This is what your link ACTUALLY says: “A coalition of states with Republican attorneys general sued President Biden on Wednesday over his decision to revoke a key permit for the Keystone XL oil pipeline. The lawsuit from 21 states, led by Texas and Montana, argues that revoking the cross-border permit is a "regulation of interstate and international commerce" that should be left to Congress and that Biden's move was an overreach. They sued him BECAUSE he stopped the pipeline. Not because he was going to allow it. You wanna try again? And this time remember people will look at your links.
Phase 4 got cancelled under Obama. Donald gave a permit. Biden cancelled it again. Keystone should have known better that there is no viable business here to have.
Everything you just posted is false https://www.oilsandsmagazine.com/ne...hy-keystone-xl-doesnt-matter-so-much-any-more https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.5882313 The only people screaming it is needed are low information pawns or people set to profit from it. The only valid argument that I have seen is that it removed around 1,000 jobs which is unfortunate but I can only quote so much, if posters are too lazy to read the attached quoted article then I cannot help them. Read the part in bold from the OP. I would ask you to try again but I believe that would be asking too much. If they are suing because they believe the president doesn’t have the authority to stop it then the president didn’t have the authority to start it. Their lawsuit will fail
Actually the one Obama cancelled is up and running, thanks to Trump. Biden like a numb nuts went after the last phase. Well look at Biden. So proud the took jobs away from at a minimum of 11,000 Americans with some reports it is actually 44,000 Americans.
Found this in your own link. Although President Biden's move seems like an attack on Canada, it's actually a bigger negative for the US energy sector. Most of the KXL pipeline sits on US soil, so most of the capital spending, construction jobs and tax revenues were also south of the border. It was also slated to transport Bakken crude from North Dakota into the USGC. KXL would have improved energy security for the USGC, which is facing dwindling supplies of heavy oil imports, rising refinery input costs. The cancellation is a bigger loss for the Americans, as their refineries still need to import over 5 million bbl/day.
I have to research who gave the permit but doubt it was Trump. America has plenty of departments issuing permits.
Yes, taken from an oil insider report… The analysis disproved many of the big lies and the other ‘link’ disproved the energy impact. I already addressed the lost jobs which is unfortunate but not tens of thousands of permanent positions like has been pushed.
