Oh, I know what you mean. We had a pool for 15 years and there is nothing better than being so hot you can hardly stand it, diving in and getting instant relief. A cold shower doesn't come close to comparing.

121°F in Lytton, BC. The all-time record for Palm Springs is 123°F.
I can handle mid-90s, but higher than body temperature gets to be a struggle.

And it's a control issue and a shakedown scam.

Norway Carbon Offset Deal Blows Up Rationale for Biden’s Trillions to Fight Climate Change.
    Yet another Leftwing swindle.

Scientists are saying Canada's extreme temperatures are almost impossible without global warming.

And which scientists, specifically, would they be?

I will let an expert discuss this

However i do note Spencer has shortened his graph by 10 years

Charles Rotter - remind me again - is he a climate scientist?
Agin where are his citations for his data?

Nothing has increased except the hype.
Sorry, Mainstream Media, Climate Change Is Not Responsible for the Recent Heatwave
    EXTREME HEAT JULY 8, 2021

"As a Google News search of the term “climate change,” shows, the mainstream media is abuzz with claims made by a group of researchers that human-caused climate change was the cause of the recent extreme heatwave that struck the Northwestern United States in early July. This claim is false.

As the stories themselves acknowledge, similar high temperature events occurred in the past, long before humans began emitting significant amounts of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere. In addition, data show the heat wave was a weather event, for which long-term climate change can’t have been a factor. . . . "

    Hardly irrelevant.

Norway Carbon Offset Deal Blows Up Rationale for Biden’s Trillions to Fight Climate Change.

"Norway is increasing it's oil production by 40% and expanding its Arctic drilling program."

"To maintain the facade of "green" Norway is buying offsets at $5 per ton of CO2."

The Left in the US "want to spend trillions and trillions of dollars on climate." We produce "about 5 billion tons of CO2 per year, all of which could be 'offset' for $25 billion."

This leads to the obvious question: Why spend $Trillions and $Trillions rather than just buying $25B in carbon indulgences like Norway is?

Carbon "indulgences" don't cut carbon emissions. We have to end up with lower levels of greenhouse cases. How we get there is what's relevant.

Can we destroy the Chinese economy or set it back for 40-50 years? That should do the trick. Both in immediate practicality and putting other nations on notice that they can either cut back their emissions voluntarily or we'll do it for them.

You don't need scientists. A plain old thermometer will do trick - the winters are warmer,
the lower temperature of each day are often warmer. And when you see Canada having a
temperature of 122 deg F, something usually seen sometimes in places like Pakistan, then
    go through the records.
I read somewhere it reached 65 in Antarctica recently.
We are dealing with temperatures probably never seen since the rise of modern man.

How do we know for certain that Canada didn't have temperatures like that 500 years ago?

    No kidding.
No we don't. Carbon Dioxide is how earth's natural processes convert nonliving matter into living things. You and every other living thing is carbon based, and every element of carbon within you, and every other living thing, was at one point a molecule of Carbon Dioxide. Put simply, limit carbon dioxide and you limit life, but, then the Left is constantly attacking life, so, there is a consistency in that. What is important for the rest of us is to understand that once again what the Left screams for is dangerous and irrational.
You get nowhere by purchasing carbon indulgences like Norway is, yet, there it is, revealing that this isn't about the "environment" it's about control and the money. With the Left, that's what it always is.

It doesn't mean the cause this time is natural just because it happened before.

Your cite is a fraud. Look up Naomi Seibt.

Irrelevant nonsense, and I'm done arguing climate change with science deniers.

All this blather about "the left"... :puke::puke::puke:

The Obamas are science deniers since they bought a multi million dollar house in the path of a tidal wave.

Still pretending to not be a democrat but you are a climate fraud fanatic? On what threads can I read your centist or right wing views?

A high of 87 today where I live. According to the climate liars it should be a desert by now. Idiot after idiot predicting gloom and doom in 10 years and then 10 years later they do it all over again.

Yeah 87 today in Columbia Tennessee. 40 years ago it was 91.

For the 122 F in that part of British Columbia it WAS unprecedented.
But importantly - asking about the hottest day is asking the wrong question - it's
the COLDEST DAY and the LOWEST TEMPERATURE of each day and the
NUMBER OF UNUSUALLY HOT DAYS that is the real issue.

Look at this graph. There were serious heat anomalies in the 1930's USA.
But TRENDING now is a new reality - those 1930 'heat waves' are becoming
    your n.o.r.m.a.l...e.v.e.r.y.d.a.y...t.e.m.p.e.r.a.t.u.r.e.s.

Climate Change Indicators: High and Low Temperatures | Climate Change Indicators in the United States | US EPA
This graph shows the percentage of the land area of the contiguous 48 states with unusually hot daily high and low
temperatures during the months of June, July, and August. The thin lines represent individual years, while the thick
lines show a nine-year weighted average. Red lines represent daily highs, while orange lines represent daily lows.
The term “unusual” in this case is based on the long-term average conditions at each location.
