I'm not exactly sure I know you have to have permits to buy explosives. That doesn't mean they're hard to get that just means you have to have permits to buy them.
Feel free to go on the ATF website and find that you're required to have a reason for your permit to handle and transport explosives beyond handling and transporting them. I'll wait.
I don't think you need a permit at all for that. What you need is a permit to obtain keep and the explosive missile. I don't know why this didn't sink in the last time but I'm going to say it again it's the projectile that's controlled you can buy the launcher at a flea market
I don't believe I ever said you could. You asked me about a permit to fire it I only think you would need that from the property owner where you plan to be firing it.
Well in order for the person to legally have the missile in their possession, they would need a permit.
You are more than welcome to look at the ATF website and find where it's required that you have a reason for your permit I will happily read it if you can find it. I'm just not sure that that's a requirement it seems rather odd. If you've proven yourself capable and liable for handling explosives it doesn't seem like there would be any issue with you handling explosives regardless of the reason as long as it's all on the level
Yes the only thing I'm not sure about is that you need a reason to have the permit outside of just wanting it.
I don't really know. If you want you can look at the ATF website. All I'm saying is it would seem weird to go through this process of getting permits and certifications from the ATF and then asking you as a condition of the permit what are you going to do with it. I don't know why it would matter.
There is really is no permit to possess explosives, all you need is a license issued by BATF, to get the license one fills out a form pays a fee and must have the proper storage magazines and security system, all of which will be inspected by a BATF agent before the license is issued. No reason is required, just pay the fee for the license and keep perfect records as you may be inspected by BATF at any time without prior notice and everything you bring in must be accounted for, that way if you see something that goes bang the agent will want to see who you sold it to and what their BATF license number is. If the product was used in the course of doing business the date, time, amount, reason and person who used the explosives must be recorded. Example, 11/01/2020, 13:00, 25 pounds xxx, demolition, John Blaster company employee..
Thanks for the info, I've never bought our handled anything like that. I have dealt with radioactive stuff and that's.... Different.
