Since Florida alone accounts for about 20% of all cases in the US, you can be sure that DeSantis and his nonsense is killing or will kill children.

 

As of 9/1/2021, 470 children 0-18 have died from Covid-19 in the United States.

Contrary to the idea that only the elderly have to fear Covid-19, we've had 136,926 people who died from Covid-19 and are younger than 65.

Of these, 19,105 are 19-44.

And of course, that's just the death toll from the acute phase of the disease. We know that Covid-19 survivors have a very significant percentage of people (20% or more) who come out of it with one or more vital organs damaged by the infection (lungs, brains, kidneys, pancreas, hearts, and the inner layer of vessels that can cause blood clots when damaged).

One needs to be really callous and stupid, like governor DeSantis, to actively try to minimize containment of this deadly and damaging disease.
