It's a brave student who would speak up to correct Putin. I would faint if I were ever in the same room with Putin!

I suspect there is something important hidden in this news story.

During his televised address, Putin described the 1709 Battle of Poltova — which saw Peter the Great claim decisive victory against the Swedish Empire — as an event during the “Seven Years’ War.”

He was swiftly corrected by Nikanor Tolstykh, a high-school student from Vorkuta, who said the war was not the Seven Years’ War but the Great Northern War and that it lasted from 1700-1721.

“Yes, of course, 21 years,” Putin said to save face.

Back in May, I had an interesting dream about Putin... which may ironically relate to this topic.

In my dream... I was standing outside my old elementary school where I hed attended fifth and sixth grade. I saw Putin and his entourage enter the school building through the back door, walk down the halls into an office. I followed behind them and when I got to that office, Putin was weighing a large package on a postal scale. The package had the Imperial Tsarist eagle stamped on it and the number 5 was written on the package.

Before I tell you my interpretation of that dream... I'd like to know if anyone here has an interpretation.

Thats a good way of putting it - the worship of the reality TV star - as there is nothing better.. reving up dreams and platitutes - of a time not so long ago to be called "ancient history" but long past..
