Milley is a military man not a psychiatrist. The idea of Trump ordering a nuke strike is pure Trump psychotic nonsense.
There is no valid diagnosis of Trump's mental state. Milley violated his oath as an official and his actions border on treason.
As if the US Chief of Staff was too stupid to judge Trump as an unstable man. In any case, Pompeo helped Milley isolate Trump in the last weeks of his mandate. So we'll have to add him to the long list of people who have 'betrayed' Trump.
Your post is simply not true. Trump was never denied access to the football. Milley, in his crazy treason, talked about that with Nancy P... but he never did anything about it. Its kind of needless anyway... they is a whole series of events associated with nuclear release messaging... reviewed by whole commission bbefore any action is taken. So there is no need. Your posts are not very factual. First the Pompeo BS... now the football.... you love pulling our leg... LOL
I'm ignoring that person, his post contained no proof. Please try harder. A sure sign someone has jack....."link" you to something and expect you to hunt it down..
Yeah... can you see this guy in high school sophomore English where you learn about footnotes. He just left a note at the bottom of the page for the teacher "look it up".
First, I'm NOT comparing the two relative to "more wrong". They BOTH jumped over the Constitution and proper procedure. Trump did not get the Pence statement wrong. Pence talked to an attorney when Trump called him and told him "Don't be a p****". Pence was told that he could NOT stop the certification so Trump knew that before he repeated that to the public. He lead his supporters to (1) Pence was a traitor and (2) he would march to the Capitol with them. Trump's demand of Pence was unconstitutional. It wasn't a mistake. He deliberately did it to put the responsibility on Pence. Full stop. Some sites are saying that Milley called his Chinese counterpart a few days before the election and a day or two after the Capitol riot just to let him know things were stable in the US. The only mention I've seen of them talking about nukes and warnings is from you and the article you linked to. I haven't seen it anywhere else (yet) so this just might be Trump trying to get his core group worked up again. Somebody posted the memo he put out today regarding this. I didn't get a chance to read it. It's either in this thread or the other one about this matter.
Nuke weapons is a very complex issue. In the 1980's I Commanded a nuclear capable Field Artillery Battery in German (M110A2). They are all retired now and so are the smaller M109 (155) nukes. Its interesting, though, tht we are going into production with these small tactical nukes again for the Navy. There's a major nuke weapon policy afoot and I'm trying to track it down. Why have these nukes in the Army, then retire them, then years later bring them back for the Navy? What's going on?
the military enforces a chain of command for good reasons. trump neither understands nor abides by a chain of command. maintaining communications with counterparts in foreign, non enemy, armies id a smart policy for preventing the kind of disasterous misunderstandings that are always possible with a commander in chief famous for acting without thinking first. gen milley should have a medal for keeping trump's basest instincts under control during that lame duck period.
I've asked but nobody has answered. Do you understand why Trump losing the election would lead to nuclear war with China? I mean, I know he is upset and all but nuclear war? Why? ETA: And should ONE person have the launch codes? Maybe it's time to divide it up a bit.
10 U.S. Code § 894 -UCMJ Art. 94. Mutiny or sedition (a)Any person subject to this chapter who— (1)with intent to usurp or override lawful military authority, refuses, in concert with any other person, to obey orders or otherwise do his duty or creates any violence or disturbance is guilty of mutiny; (2)with intent to cause the overthrow or destruction of lawful civil authority, creates, in concert with any other person, revolt, violence, or other disturbance against that authority is guilty of sedition; (3)fails to do his utmost to prevent and suppress a mutiny or sedition being committed in his presence, or fails to take all reasonable means to inform his superior commissioned officer or commanding officer of a mutiny or sedition which he knows or has reason to believe is taking place, is guilty of a failure to suppress or report a mutiny or sedition. (b)A person who is found guilty of attempted mutiny, mutiny, sedition, or failure to suppress or report a mutiny or sedition shall be punished by death or such other punishment as a court-martial may direct. (Aug. 10, 1956, ch. 1041, 70A Stat. 68.) So did Milley break the law? It seems the general issued orders to slow walk any launch of nukes during that period. Milley ordered the officials in charge of the National Military Command Center not to take orders from anyone except him. “No matter what you are told, you do the procedure. You do the process. And I’m part of that procedure,” Milley ordered, according to the book. The general then moved around the room and received verbal confirmation from each person. It gets worse if that’s possible. In a pair of secret phone calls with his chinese counterpart, Milley promised to warn the chinese of any imminent attack. “General Li, I want to assure you that the American government is stable and everything is going to be okay,” Milley said. “We are not going to attack or conduct any kinetic operations against you.” “General Li, you and I have known each other for now five years,” Milley added. “If we’re going to attack, I’m going to call you ahead of time. It’s not going to be a surprise.” Pretty straightforward. Milley is a criminal (https://milvetsandpatriots.com/2021/09/so-is-it-treason-or-mutiny-and-sedition/)
The cods are not issued by the President alone. Once he gives the ok, the action has to be reviewed and approved by a council called The National Command Authority. That he acts alone is pure Hollywood.
OK. I'm able to differentiate real life from Hollywood. So, if that's the process, why would Milley feel the need to handle his concerns in the way that's being reported?
I am not a psychiatrist and cannot analyze the motives or thoughts of an obviously ill Chairman that would usurp the power of the Commander-in-Chief and commit sedition in such a manner.
