    The genesis was a federal civil rights lawsuit by a former subordinate whom he had sexually harasssed and assaulted in which he committed several very serious felonies.

    Trump committed no crime, no court ever said he did nor was he charged or plea bargained one.

    The investigations were totally different and one did not result in the other. The way the Clinton/Lewinsky investigation came about had nothing to due with Whitewater/Castle Grande/Madison Guaranty. Clinton/Lewinsky was brought to the Starr Office of Independent Counsel solely by Linda Tripp because she believed she could not go straight to the DOJ with what was coming at her from Lewinsky and Clinton. The OIC being independent she believed was her best course. Starr had the FBI agents that were working with his office confirm the evidence then he took it to Reno for her to take it over, he didn't want it. Reno however said that since he was already investing the Clintons for among other things perjury and obstruction of justice instead of seeking another OIC his office should handle and she and the panel of judges assigned it to his office.

    YOU were asked to provide the DEFINITION of the term "republic" and you responded with a FALLACIOUS allegation that it was "defined in the Constitution" that YOU subsequently could NOT provide because such a "definition" does NOT exist anywhere in the Constitution.

    Given that I KNOW the definition of the term "republic" AND the content of the Constitution can we "assume" that "you're not from the US"? ;)

    Actually impeachment, as a political action rather than a judicial one, doesn't even require a crime. Remember when Clinton was impeached for lying about a sexual tryst. Imagine if people actually faced judicial action over attempting to hide a private tryst. Impeachments are political stances.

    I suppose that's technically true. But Nixon resigned when Senate Repubs signaled they would vote for his conviction in an impeachment procedure.

    Go ahead, and impeach them. Then when we have a GOP controlled Legislative and Executive Branches, more then likely in 2024, the GOP can impeach the liberal judges for not following the science that a fetus is alive even before birth. Is that how you want this country to be run? A total revamped SCOTUS every four to eight years? Make the whole judicial system into a weaponized political machine? If so, then you should head to China. You will feel more comfortable there. (Note: I am not telling you to leave this country, or even stating that should leave this country. I am merely pointing out where you would feel more comfortable because they already have the system that you are advocating.)

    No it did not thee FEC fiund no violation nor was he ever charged and yes private phone calls with foreign leaders are not routinely released. And he was right to seek the cooperation of the Ukraine justice system under the mutual cooperation treaty.

    Impeachment is all about Biden now.
