If that's what you need to tell yourself to defend his attempt to install himself as an unelected autocrat, then sure.

Not what he did. He simply search for legal means if confronting a dubious election. Nothing that Democrats haven't done every list presidential election cycle since 2000.

No candidate, EVER, tried to do what he did. NONE. Not a Dem, not a Republican. Not ever. And, no, it isn't a "legal means" to pick and choose which EC votes count and toss the rest in order to install someone as an unelected leader. That's authoritarianism.

Dude, the Electoral College is an example of authoritarianism...So are the courts examples of authoritarianism.

The Constitution allows the authoritarianism of the Electoral College to maintain the integrity of the states in the federal union while there isn't such a uniformity of resolve in The Constitution to maintain the courts as authoritarian figures...The courts have kinda coopted this authoritarianism in their decrees and precedents.

Objectively, that's what he tried to do.

And that makes a far, far greater authoritarianism okay? How?

A Trump-hater would say that's objective. Rather, that's subjective. That's the perspective of the Trump-hater.

Tell me, with a straight face, that you would be okay with Harris doing in 2024 what Trump pressured Pence to do in 2020. Go on. Try. You might want to practice in the mirror a bit.

It's always a good thing to ensure elections are free from corruption. Especially the ones like the 2020 election with the pandemic rules and the remote balloting.

There is no evidence of mass fraud. Trump's actions are what's corrupt here. No one who actually cares about our elections can support what he pressured Pence to do. Period.

Bunk. Dictionaries defined fascism as a political system based on the merging of corporate interests with government until the 1940's when large corporations began buying up dictionary publishers. At that point the definition, which they decided was a bit too close to home, was changed to what we find today.

My rather old American Heritage Dictionary (1973) defines it as "A system of government that exercises a dictatorship of the extreme right, typically through the merging of state and business leadership, together with belligerent nationalism."

Today, the right jump happily on the revisionist bandwagon. They want very very very very much to change history to absolve the right of fascism. Sorry but fascism was invented by a fascist who named it. Do you at least know who that was?

Ya think? LOL!!! Try this: My rather old American Heritage Dictionary (1973) defines it as "A system of government that exercises a dictatorship of the extreme right, typically through the merging of state and business leadership, together with belligerent nationalism."

Why? The end game of the Florida disaster in 2000 was that failing to get a cherry picked recount in Florida, to keep the Florida result from being certified until to late. The complaints regarding Ohio voting machines in 2004 was to prevent the certification of the Ohio vote.

Requesting recounts in specific areas is common. Bush was preparing to do it in that same election. Trump did it. There's nothing wrong with saying, "Hey, I want these counties to be recounted." You just might have to pay for it yourself. Gore lost Florida by less than 2,000 votes. During the course of the recounts, that shrank to just over 500. The recounts (which the Florida SC expanded beyond the "cherry picked" counties) were never completed. And it is hilarious that you want to talk about "too late." I actually supported the SC decision on this, despite supporting Gore's right to a recount, specifically because time was running out. Yet Trump supporters want that time EXTENDED far, far beyond what Gore was looking for. And when did anyone in 2004 go to court and argue that the entire vote of Ohio should be eliminated?

Why do you think there are no degrees of love? I love strawberry ice cream, but I love chocolate ice cream more.

Indeed. One must be pretty lonely to have a love relation with capitalism.
