Simple question: should all registered voters be able to vote by mail? I believe this is the best answer to deal with COVID, long lines, broken machines, bad weather. Let all registered voters request a mail ballot within 1 month of an election. This can be done by mail or internet or at DMV.
No they should not. If you can't one day over a three or four week period to drag you sorry ass down to the polls to do your Patriotic duty tough luck. If my wife and I can make it anyone can.
It is a standard practice for most liberals to conflate mass mail out ballots with absentee ballots now that they pulled it off once... absentee are requested... mass mail out are not... but you watch the liberal response on here. They will not distinguish a difference in the two.. repeat... now that they pulled it off once..
Sure, I charge $15 an hour and can fill out about 40 ballots an hour depending on how many things are being voted on. I require cash up front plus expenses.
Depends where you live. Some places you have to stand in the rain for hours, even 8 hours. If you need to use the bathroom, then you'll probably lose your place in the line. Some places do not allow anyone to bring food and water to the people in line. Mail-in removes those issues. Maybe one day we'll get a phone app too, which would be even more convenient.
I'm sure they have enough people already... they just have the same people go ahead and verify the signature at the same time...obviously you are not a handwriting analyst expert like they are... kill 2 birds with one stone... but they are looking for delivery truck drivers, but you have to work in early morning when the counting strangely "shuts down", the back door's open..
Unfortunately, it seems that convenience or progress has been confused with anti patriotism. You are only really patriotic if you ignore the technological changes made in the past few decades.
I'm fine with voting with requested ballots. Fill out a form. Send it in. Get a ballot in return. I'm completely opposed to the wholesale mailing of ballots.
No, absolutely not. It is well known common knowledge, except for the avid radical protagonists, that universal mail-in balloting (as opposed to absentee voting) is much more prone to fraud, abuse, and error. I would go along with states including fear of COVID as a reason for absentee balloting, though I think anyone who had been to a grocery store for instance in the past month should not be eligible. The only logical reason for mail-in balloting is to open the door for (mostly) Democrat vote generators.
I guarantee you that I could produce a script of code that would chunk out millions of votes. I could likely tie exact name of registered voter with exact address of registered voter, and create endless numbers of ballots. I know LOTS of people who could do the same thing. And that is exactly why in person voting, while you think it antiquated, is still the ONLY method of voting veracity. Why do we want the fraud that automation brings into one of the few things that really matter as a personal responsibility in our nation?
I agree with voting by mail. But if it’s foolproof how do you explain how the current fool got into office?
That was a trump supporter claiming to be a fraudulent voter. If by they you are referring to the left, which you no doubt are.
People have the bank accounts, 401k accounts, hospital/clinic accounts all on line. And to login to any of those accounts one has to verify who they are and they do. But for some reason, States voters can't be just as safe?
Sure, although I wouldn't recommend it as the primary method for those able to get to the polls, sometime between first day of early voting and election day. I personally have resolved never to vote by mail, because I don't want to take the slightest chance my ballot is disqualified due to the myriad of rules regarding postmarks and signature verification. Also, it is simply much more work for people who do the processing (and probably myself too). What I do want out of any possible federal voting rights act is universal early voting rules, especially enough locations and periods. My family first early voted in the 2020 election (late September) and did so again this November. The process was exactly the same as voting at our normal polling station, except 10 minutes further away. A decent early voting period also resolves the 4 issues you mention in the OP COVID - early voting is naturally spread out, although I grant you mailing is probably safer. Long Lines - Ditto Broken Machines - Come back another day Bad Weather - Ditto That's my best solution...
