    How they gonna do that before the takeover of the capitol when they couldn’t even do the electors? How were they going to call a session of senate together in just a few hours?

    Yalls argument makes no sense. You know what does make sense? That it was a protest that got out of hand. Wasn’t planned and wasn’t an insurrection. That makes sense. But you all already know that. You’re just trying to make political haystacks out of one piece of straw.

    An insurrection doesn't have to be planned, or successful. If you make war on the United States Government you are committing Treason pure and simple.

    If Trump is ever given the chance to do this again what do you think he is going to do?

    The 1/6 cannot be on the same scale as Pearl Harbor because half of the Republicans approve of what the insurgents did.

    Politically, however, the effect on the GOP will be horrendous.

    Ten years ago, if a historian had written that U.S. democracy could be jeopardized by the election of a demagogue, he would have been called crazy.

    Actually a short time before the riot the Chief executive was telling them to peacefully march to the capitol so your voices can be heard. No plans of a riot.

    He was also telling them to "fight like hell". He said that several times as against once for the "peacefully" phrase and the last was at the very end when it was likely drowned out .

    The planning was done several times days and even weeks before.
