Supreme Court Halts Vaccine Mandate That Covered 80 Million Workers

(Bloomberg) -- The U.S. Supreme Court blocked the centerpiece of President Joe Biden’s push to get more people vaccinated amid a Covid-19 surge, rejecting an Occupational Safety and Health Administration rule that would have required 80 million workers to get shots or periodic tests.

Yet another unconstitutional and therefore illegal Biden mandate overturned.

This comes at a time where Biden is at his lowest approval numbers and the economy is in shambles.

Biden had previously commented that he failed to order covid tests as well.

This was good reasoning.

I believe fully that the vaccinations help and that unless you have a legitimate medical complication that would cause you harm if you took one that you should get them. But mandating them was and is never going to work, and mandating them based on such specious factors is even worse. The second sentence I quote nails it.

If they want mandates, mandate it for everyone, not just for those who happen to work at a place that is above a magic number. At least then it would be logically consistent.

Meanwhile, the irresponsible anti-vaxxers are hogging the few available paxlovid doses, making it impossible for me, as vaccinated and boostered, to get it, should I get sick. Seems like a moral hazard to me....

If you have an allergy to an ingredient in the vaccine and can not get it, you are not an anti-vaxxer. If you have had Covid in the past, recovered, and elected to not get the vaccine, you are not an anti-vaxxer.

Your immune system is dependent on you, your genetics, and your environment, no amount of clutching pearls changes that.

But since that is now a bellweather to success, are you going to call out Desanits for letting 2 million tests expire by not distributing them ?

 

Bidens own CDC said in response that they DID know.
