Certainly I see the difference. Double standard. If he can not live up to the standards he sets for everyone else, then he does not deserve to be president.
Then no one deserves to be president. No one lives on that lofty perch. The standard for the president, by default, is not the same for everyone else. Besides, he said it in private, and all politicians criticize others, bitch at this and that person or that person, in private.
So what? You don't fire a president, you impeach him. No one is going to impeach a president for an off-the-cuff remark. Even by the standard, he wouldn't fire someone for a comment made in private.
I think most vastly overestimate what a President can do and what effects they can have, on the economy, health sector, and many other aspects of the country. Neither Trump nor Biden are the primary factors regarding covid but they are often treated as solely to be credited or blamed. There are state governors, medical systems, the rest of the planet, and the disease itself. Trump I think is a great exposee of limits on what a President can do (good or bad).
He is fully capable of firing himself. No impeachment required. It was not in private. it was heard all over the room.
For an act that would have world wide consequences and of such historical weight, it would constitute to his constituency a betrayal. You simply haven't thought it through, Accidentally, and he apologized. This idea that people exist who do not bitch in private is an impossible standard. You really need to climb down from your high horse
He is the president. He is supposed to lead. He cannot lead, if he cannot live up to the standards he requires for everyone else.
I don't really care whether you think it is moot or ridiculous. He made an insulting comment out loud in a room full of reporters. He is either demented or the remark was intentional. And by the way, your post is against the rules.
It's their good ol' double standard. It was said that Trump making a mistake was our *misinterpretation* of his statements. Trump also said that he never jokes and turned around and said the blurted out "disinfectants and UV lights" to be sarcastic to see what the press would do. Just what we needed - a stand-up comedian - during the height of a pandemic. So, they will be calling out the lynch mob because Biden said whatever about some guy. Yeah, that's important. Let's all worry about that while COVID is rampant, Afghanistan withdrawal isn't completely done and people need to get back to gainful employment.
You have been repeating since we started. Keep repeating the same comments and I will likely repeat the same answers. If you don't like my answers, stop asking the questions and making the comments. What we have here is a senile president. When they get in that condition, they tend to lose their temper much easier. You can watch him and see that he gets irritated. Petere Doocy asks tough questions. The question Doocy asked this time was not on the list of questions, he was supposed to ask. Biden lost his cool and said something that he said he would fire anyone else for on the spot. Not presidential at all.
And, to date, no one - I repeat, NO ONE - has said that Doocy is not, in fact, a "stupid son of a bitch." Most curious.
Spoiler alert: Biden is human. So is Orange Jesus (he doesn't know that), Obama, Clinton, the Professor and the rest on Gilligan's Island..
you have to hand it to republicans, to say, "have we ever seen a President attack and malign the free press like Joe Biden has?" they have no shame
