Your ignorance is simply astonishing. You need to be educated.

How Bush's grandfather helped Hitler's rise to power

Rumours of a link between the US first family and the Nazi war machine have circulated for decades. Now the Guardian can reveal how repercussions of events that culminated in action under the Trading with the Enemy Act are still being felt by today's president

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2004/sep/25/usa.secondworldwar

George Bush's grandfather, the late US senator Prescott Bush, was a director and shareholder of companies that profited from their involvement with the financial backers of Nazi Germany.

The Guardian has obtained confirmation from newly discovered files in the US National Archives that a firm of which Prescott Bush was a director was involved with the financial architects of Nazism.

His business dealings, which continued until his company's assets were seized in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act, has led more than 60 years later to a civil action for damages being brought in Germany against the Bush family by two former slave labourers at Auschwitz and to a hum of pre-election controversy.

    So do you.

From the mid-1920s until Hitler finally got so embarrassed he stopped it in about 1933 there was extensive co-operation between the Red Army & the German military. German forces trained in Russia, where they began to develop tank tactics & tank designs. They also learned about parachute units from the Russians. Numerous German officers gained invaluable insight & practice courtesky of Russia. No nation in the world did more to help Germany rearm & retrain. As stated, Germany terminated this arrangement, not Russia.

Then Hitler came sniffing around looking for a way to limit the impact of French & German guarantees to Poland. Like a dog on heat Stalin was more than happy to oblige. So Hitler and Stalin divide up Eastern Europe so they can invade & commit genocide without fear of interference. Without this guarnatee Germany cannot risk invading Poland. Even better for the Nazis, Russia provided millions of tons of food, oil & other resources to help the Nazis evade Allied blockades of the continent.

Apologists for the Bolsheviks & Stalin will always find a way to justify this, but add it all up and you have a pattern of assisting Germany and Nazis without which Hitler's expansion and invasions would not have been possible. It is a sad irony that Russians themselves paid such a high price for Russia's assistance to Germany. If only Russia had chosen a different path.

You have to wonder what sort of person would think that an anti-semite & holocaust denier like Roberts is a worthwhile source.

Well I guess we know which side the Nazi sympathizers are on - Putin's of course.

So you are trying to disown all of this based on Stalin being ethnic Georgian and the Russian Empire changing its name for 70 years?

Stalin was born within Russia's borders under a Russian government and he ruled a nation where Russian was the national language and Russians dominated all levels of society. If Putin had his way Georgia would still be part of Russia.

Please don't judge the rest of us by your low intellectual standards. Russia is as reponsible for the actions of the USSR as it was for those of the Tsars. Putin is 100% in those traditions.

So the Bushes had some financial dealings with Hitler's Germany before the war? That rascal. That certain;ly absolves old Joe S. from guilt over his early deal with the Devil.

Doesn’t change the fact that the USSR entered WW2 as a nazi ally.

Really? How? They invaded a country where they outnumbered and outgunned the defenders by a great deal, where just about everyone expected the conflict to be over in days and they've been not only stopped in their tracks but appear to be losing. On top of that they've been doing atrocity after atrocity, killing civilians right and left. Instead of disciplined soldiers they appear to be nothing more than a group of random killers turned loose. Do you have any instances of their bravery and military proficiency to tell us about?

Yeah, the russians have sealed their fate. Their only chance is to take out putin. The way things look now, they are the most hated people on earth and will stay that way for a very long time - perhaps generations.

It doesn't look like he cares. He wants a win, and Odessa would give him that.

I agree he may try. But my point was that he may no longer have the force to succeed.

Never say never. Who can explain the logic of the NATO generals who placed their missiles 10 minutes from Moscow? When 4 minutes are required to discover the fact of an attack and report to the top. 6 minutes reserved for return launches. NATO generals left Russia 0 minutes to check a possible technical error. Are they planning the destruction of the entire population of NATO countries by the hands of Russia due to a technical error? There have already been several such errors, but there was enough time to check them before.
