We've heard the Great One DJ Trump refer to those 'insignificant' African nations as ****-hole countries. But did you know that it is those very countries where abortion is most likely to be totally prohibited by law? I'm referring to Angola, DR Congo & Republic of Congo, Gabon, São Tomé & Príncipe, Madagascar, Mauritania and Senegal. Also true of Egypt and the well-known ****-hole countries of Iraq, Laos, Cambodia, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Philippines and Tonga; plus a few lesser knowns like Micronesia, Palau, Suriname, San Marino, Malta, Andorra and the Marshall Islands.

All of the remaining nations of the World are somewhat more 'illuminated' and allow the procedure. So I ask, how do all of you bizarre far-right MAGA Republicans feel about overturning Row v Wade and joining that elite group of ****-hole countries that I've just enumerated. Hey! Let's Make America A ****-Hole Country Again!

Yeah ...gradually ...over the course of 53 years ...in response to changing circumstances ...intelligently ...deftly ...he's open-minded. Whereas slime-ball K. McCarthy changes on a dime ...when The Don~ stares him down ...when the Orange Chameleon twists his arm. The key is the "O" in "GOP". Yeechie-pooh!

They're economic crapholes. Culturally however, many of them aren't so bad.

Seems only the extreme left thinks if the SCOTUS overturns RvW it will outlaw abortions. But thats nothing new here.
When in fact, it gives the people the right to vote on it, instead of the SCOTUS making laws that it was never designed to do in the first place. Their job is to interpret the constitution.

So the lefts hyperbole on RvW is expected.

It's ok to be against Roe v Wade so long as you come to your senses when you understand the facts. Those people are not the problem. The problem is with people to whom you show fact after fact and they STILL grab on to a cult-like anti-women mentality.

Oh, Dear God! Most of those countries mentioned are NOT "majority black". But the fact that that's the conclusion you draw from a post that points out that those countries are among those that struggle the most in their economy and, in some cases, in education, calling them "shitholes" says quite a bit about your contempt for black people.

It's scary that people don't even bother to hide these feelings anymore. The type of hate-speech that has caused so many deaths in our country.

Maybe a valid point. Though you are certainly keenly aware that Republicans are poised to enact a law to ban abortion in all fifty States, as soon as and when and if they are able. I posted this purely sarcastic thread with that presumption in mind. Getting back to your point about SCOTUS's job, their ruling was the inevitable concluding confluence of bitterly fierce contention and to settle contentious disputes with finality is always the appropriate job of a court, even if it results in what seems much like legislation.

I see no need whatsoever to pervert this conversation into some race-based slant, for the issue clearly transcends race. But if you must, then sure: free speech with my blessing.

You don't think this is just a bit over the top? Republicans want to make abortions illegal in all 50 states?
I think these over reactions are just catalyst for more hyperbole.

    1. I don't know any conservatives that would vote to ban abortions. They would put term limits which would be more appropriate which is a direct result of abortion clinics selling baby parts. I believe some are instituting a heart beat law.

    2. The left lost their fight on the subject when they were discussing late term abortions or making a new born comfortable until it dies because the mother doesn't want it.

    3. The only opportunity the SCOTUS would have to overturn a prior SCOTUS ruling would be for improper adjudication. Meaning, the original ruling made wild assumptions that the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution provides a "right to privacy" that protects a pregnant woman's right to choose whether to have an abortion. Yet that very same right to privacy didn't protect individuals who refused vaccinations and as a matter of fact, the government went so far as to mandate vaccinations. Setting the exact stage for this Supreme Court to hear how RvW was actually legislating from the bench.

So these wild assertions about Republicans being poised to enact a law to ban abortions in all 50 states just feeds the misinformation propaganda and isn't helping this cause. It just shows the desperation of the left who seem fine with the fact that more black babies are aborted than born, and late term abortions should be legal.

My wife is a 30 year director of a help crisis pregnancy center who provides food, clothing, homes, and baby items to anyone with a crisis pregnancy. They also provide care for women who have had abortions. Even though they are pro life, they are also realistic on the individual needs of women in certain circumstances and provide counseling and other needs of women who have had abortions. They will also help with adoption if the woman decides to go full term.

And I will tell you what the largest common denominator of most of the women who have abortions is. They have problems adapting and living with the decision they made to have an abortion. Be it from their childhood 20 years ago or just a month ago. They never get over it. Ever. And that is a part of these abortion activist (on both sides) never seem to bring into the equation. The life long effects on a mother who aborted her baby.

If the people who want abortions for any term of a pregnancy worked in one of these facilities for a few months and saw the aftermath of these decisions, they would have to be absolutely heartless to not rethink their positions.

Heres a real statistic you won't hear or have the ability to know about. Over 90% of the women who visit this facility, who are scheduled for an abortion, go full term if they elect to have a free sonogram. Once they hear the fetus heartbeat and see it move, that mother protective instinct kicks in. In most cases.

From my experience, usually the only women who want abortions, never had one. True story.

Extremely illuminating and that's what I love. I will of course need to sleep on all this input before expressing how/if it has affected my views. Either way I thank you heartily for your effort. And not a typo or misspelling to be found!

Well thanks for the kind words and you're welcome.
Not really meant to change your position on abortion, just a side of abortions nobody seems to discuss.
As a matter of how the numbers play out statistically, women who want abortions, never had one.
    Just food for thought.
