You don't want to understand it. You have personal investment in conflating the physiological with the psychiatric. In order to understand, you'd first have to accept neuroplasticity (which you may find difficult, if you're determined to confuse the plastic mind with the fixed body). Then you'd have to spend time studying the influence of hormones on the way the brain functions - then you'd need to back that up with research into the role of environment on the mind, and the role early psychic trauma has in mental illness. To round off your insight, you'd then need to accept that it's all just "thought". Unlike Down Syndrome or Hermaphroditism.
I'm not referring to actual persecution as much as warning against it People should be able to buy accomodation for any affair that anyone else can, frex Names are often awkward, that's what pronouns are for. I find the doctrinaire refusal to use whatever one wishes to be boorish. What harm does it do
Your lack of understanding about mental illness is noted. The body can have abnormalities, but the brain cannot. Well, that clears it up. Lol. The ignorance about this is next level. On behalf of all people with a brain chemistry imbalance, bleep the bleep off.
No. I don't think anyone is challenging "mutations" like hermaphroditism, but those are extremely rare and don't define the binary male/female division of humans, anymore than the fact that because some people are born with extra fingers or toes means that the the proper number of toes for humans is indeterminate. Humans still have 10 fingers and 10 toes even if some people are occasionally born with a differing number of digits.
"qualities" or "characteristics" do not matter at all. When it comes to "male" and "female" the only thing that matters are chromosomes.
How do you consider that progress if I never argued otherwise? This is what happens when you decide to deliberately misinterpret what I said, which is what you did in post #231. What I had said was, I don't think anyone is challenging "mutations" like hermaphroditism, but those are extremely rare and don't define the binary male/female division of humans, anymore than the fact that because some people are born with extra fingers or toes means that the the proper number of toes for humans is indeterminate. Now let's see if you can respond to this in an intelligent manner instead of your previous crack up.
Please clarify. You seem to agree that abnormalities happen, yet don’t agree they happen. Which is it?
No reasonable person could have come to that conclusion from my post. So...either you are not reasonable, or you have some super secret rhetorical trick that you are going to spring on me. Frankly, I hope it's the rhetorical trick because otherwise your utter inability to make a cogent argument has already gotten boring. So wow me.
It’s actually the opposite. I’ve got no gotcha planned. You seem to think there are only two possibilities when it comes to gender, and that is 100% up to the genitals. Then you acknowledge that abnormalities happen, but that doesn’t make binary less true. The fact that people can be born with two sets of genitalia is the proof that gender sense resides in the brain. We don’t call them “it.” They choose, based on what they feel in their brain. I don’t know too many people who define themselves by their genitals. Personally, my entire sense of self resides in my brain. That includes my sense of being a woman. Everything is up to the brain. Pro tip…. it’s a bigger sex organ than your penis.
This "non-binary" thing is a stupid fashion - invented by over-woke "binary" people - out of boredom.
On the other hand, there really are people, who are neither baker nor butcher. I suggest we call such people "non-bakery-butchery" or "non-bb" - just to give woke people some new idea to worry about.
I find the attempt to control what other people say and this what other people think unacceptable. There is no such thing as non binary outside of an imaginary gender within an imaginary ideology.
Are you just making up your own science? When was this "gender sense," unconnected from a person's body, discovered? The guy ought to have won a Nobel Prize for that.
Not to people who actually study the topic. I'll stick with experts. ...Hermaphrodite Definition A hermaphrodite is an organism with both male and female genitalia. I https://biologydictionary.net/hermaphrodite/ ... Male, female and transgender brains “The male and female brain have structural differences,” he says. Men and women tend to have different volumes in certain areas of the brain. “When we look at the transgender brain, we see that the brain resembles the gender that the person identifies as,” Dr. Altinay says. For example, a person who is born with a penis but ends up identifying as a female often actually has some of the structural characteristics of a “female” brain. And the brain similarities aren’t only structural. “We’re also finding some functional similarities between the transgender brain and its identified gender,” Dr. Altinay says. https://health.clevelandclinic.org/research-on-the-transgender-brain-what-you-should-know/

It's a good thing his version of America died. That was a parasitic enemy within. Celebrate the death of the parasite.
And an anonymous person on the internet doesn't? But their agenda is to seek an understanding of the topic they study.
