    Of course they're a government (or rather, 50 governments), just not the one we were discussing. Read your own post again:
    The Constitution was designed to limit the power of the federal government. It wasn't, at least originally, intended to limit the power of states. Go read the 10th Amendment again if you're unclear on this.

    The thing is, that we have been here before. The first hundred years of the country's existence, abortion was legal - the Founding Fathers
    could easily have banned it if it that was what they wanted - they did not. In the 1860's, abortion was made illegal in a number of states, and
    the implementation was uneven at best - rich people simply took "vacations" and only the poor were ever prosecuted. Read the comments
    by the Justices in the Roe v. Wade decision.

    So, we may see a number of Central States pass anti abortion legislation, some very aggressive, some less so, and most of the coastal states
    will keep it legal. The middle class and rich will once again take "vacations" and only the poor will ever be prosecuted - unless angry
    ex-boyfriends or spiteful women use social media to bash women with true, and un-true, accusations of abortions. And then we will see
    the cycle repeat itself.

    One thing is sure - it will be a nightmare for the court system and a nightmare for women forced to undergo intrusive pelvic exams to
    prove they have had a natural miscarriage and not an induced one.

    14th Amendment.

    All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

    Simply put - the Constitution protects the liberty of BORN American citizens.

    For starters, women already undergo intrusive exams in some pretty traumatizing circumstances. "rape kits" are a prominent example. Do you consider those "a nightmare for the court system and a nightmare for women"? Should we do away with them?



    But I'm also curious: Has any state actually proposed legislation that specifies "intrusive pelvic exams" in the case of natural miscarriages? Or is your overactive imagination just running wild again?

    I want you to read the highlighted portion carefully and think real hard before answering: Is it limited to just "BORN American citizens"? Maybe ponder for a while on the phrase "any person".

    False, he's just the current one. In 2024, Democrats and corporate media will seamlessly transition all their hatred and rage to whoever the new Republican leader is.

    You mean they're going to pay to move liberals out of red states?!? Could this day get any better? I submit to you that it cannot.

    Also, Cameron apparently missed the memo that he's not supposed to say "women" anymore.

    Okay, what about Gov Abbott of Texas? Gov Picketts of Nebraska, Sen. Mitch McConnell? And if you don't like the WaPo, how about Forbes? According to Forbes, Sen Joni Erst and Sen James Lockford will introduce legislation to ban all abortions, no exceptions.

    Then we can look at the GOP party platform of 2016, fifth amendment, where the party will protect life and thus make abortion illegal because it goes against "traditional family values." For 2020, the GOP basically adopted the platform of 2016 with proposed resolutions of that America's first policy that the President liked to talk about.

    So, is MTG doing her own thing away from party platform agendas, or is she just one of the crowd in the GOP?

    I appreciate the advice. Unhealthy maybe. Dangerous though....? Na. I don't have it in me to hurt another person in any way shape or form unless its in self defense. I am incredibly non violent.

    Same tactics existed with Bush, Reagan, etc...People today just have less decorum (really on both sides).

    Using a rape kit is NOT FORCED on women...they have a CHOICE..... a choice that will be taken away by anti-abortion, anti-women's rights POS.

    The claim was that women would be forced to endure invasive pelvic exams. No evidence was provided to support that claim. Do you have any evidence to support it?

    Yeah, but it was a very Trump type answer.

    "They are murderers, rapists, thieves, losers.... but some I assume, are nice people."

    Why call out one team specifically to prove a point, but then throw in, "really on both sides?"

    You have to remember at the time the 14th Amendment was passed, abortion had been legal in most states for almost 100 years, so the nomenclature
    was still geared toward a citizen becoming a person AFTER birth.
