The proper solution for that would be to get the federal .gov out of the welfare business. Let the states handle it.

Apparently you don't even understand that the case at the root of this discussion has nothing whatsoever to do with Abbott or Texas. Yes, there is a case against the Texas law somewhere in the judicial system, and yes, highly depending of course on what happens with this case, it very well may end up before SCOTUS, but they're literally two different cases, about two different laws/bills, in two different States. I'm pro-choice (to an extent), like you, but I suggest you understand what is being discussed before butting into the conversation and offering irrelevant opinions.

I fully support a law similar to the Mississippi law before the court. A bill that bans abortion after 15 weeks.

That still leaves 93% of abortions legal. Such a law would get nationwide support so the dems will lie about what it means. 15 weeks is not a glob of cells.

This is a golden opportunity for republicans to expose how immoral and cruel this ideology is and the people who support it. They claim to care about the poor and vulnerable but want to destroy the most poor and vulnerable among us.
