Yup, round up the votes and then we can talk about your proposed gun-control schemes. Here's where you're starting from:

Not in Texas. There are schools where the teachers are carrying. There are also armed security officers patrolling the school. Hence not a "gun free zone"

    Yeah right.
You owning a gun is so important right?
The plethora of guns in America equals plenty of people dying.
Compare the situation with regards to guns between America and the UK for example.
Gaslighting everybody as to why those who promote gun ownership (and there is a lot of money to be made from death doncha know?) must be heeded above those who want to prevent tragic massacres is what the gun lobby does.
    Sickening.
Still, got to allow Americans to worship their phallic tokens because of the cultural impotence with regard to guns.
Don’t worry, nobody is going to take your guns away, you can go on a killing spree any time the fancy takes you.

I have not read the Thread.

Just terrible, terrible, terrible. Come on Team USA!!!!!!! Surely you are better than this, yes?

What is the magic number before it happens? How many kids in a week will it take?

    "What are you doing?" indeed.

    :frustrated:

The jihadists on 9/11 killed more people with boxcutters (and airplanes) than they ever could have with a loaded gun. Same goes for Timothy McVeigh and some fertilizer and diesel. The jihadist who drove the truck into the crowd in Nice, France killed and injured way more people than he ever could have with a gun. That's just a few examples.

You support tragedies like this because that is just a price the country needs to be willing to pay, in order to preserve the 2nd. You accept these things. They could happen every day and you would shrug your shoulders at it.
    Nice.

You've gotten yourself confused. I wasn't the one who originally mentioned Martin / Zimmerman. Someone else did. You responded to them, left out some critical details, and then I chimed in pointing out that you left out details. Happy to set the record straight for you (again).

Martin was the aggressor. He was not defending himself from anything. He (foolishly) attacked a stranger, and he had no right to do that (that's why the man who shot him was acquitted). There's no evidence at all to suggest that Zimmerman even had an inkling of violent intent until Martin punched him in the face, mounted him, bashed his head on the concrete, and tried to steal his firearm.

We chose to be unarmed…because we were no longer prepared to sacrifice dozens of our children every year just so that gun nuts could play with their big boy toys….

That thing massacred a bunch of children today. It shot its own grandma FFS. Please don't try to make it out to be the victim here. It's disgusting.

Many Americans use the word freedom without really understanding it.
There is no such thing as freedom.
There are such things as restrictions.
    Gun owners want no restrictions.
Children want an unrestricted schooling experience where they don’t have to fear death by going to school.
Anyway, the gun lobby can stomach school massacres, as many threads like this demonstrate.

I'm curious what about that you don't think is accurate. This is a photo on Trayvon Martin's cell phone:

What a steaming pile of foetid crap…!

You have the gall to bray about “freedom”…..what freedom do those little kids enjoy, who go to school each day worrying about whether someone is going to shoot them…!?

The only “freedom” you support is for the morons who have never grown beyond their adolescence and who substitute the brandishing of an assault weapon for their pathetic lack of manhood…

So, it appears that he bought two guns on his 18th birthday. What background checks were carried out? How long did he have to wait to have his guns in his hands?

Do you understand what a NICS check consists of? I feel like there's a lot of ignorance, particularly from the gun control crowd, on what a "background check" means. Are you among them?

You've replied to my post but haven't answered the questions, which were rhetorical in a way as it's obvious that gun fans do not want any serious checks and want their guns without any waiting

Did they pass gun control and see a decrease in violent crime after it was passed? Or did they already have lower rates?

    Overly emotional claptrap.

Show me that massacre victims killed by an illegally Young gun are less dead than those killed by a legally owned gun.

If you can't do that you need to realize you post claptrap.

    This is idiotic.

If someone in your country gets a gun illegally and shoots and kills people with it are they any less dead?

If not your law means nothing. Your sacrificing of your rights did nothing.

I think that's why you're so desperate to pretend people who are murdered with illegally owned firearms are somehow More alive than people who are murdered with legally owned ones.

Also people who bent over and took it from their government tend to one other people to do it too so they don't have to be alone.

If anything you're an example of what not to do as a country thanks for showing us not the way.

    You didn't answer my question

If someone shoots and kills a person within illegally owned gun are they less dead than if they did it with one that was legally owned?

Why can't you answer that question is it because the answer shows you how absurd your position is?

    I think that's the case.

They're probably won't be anymore kids killed by this person if they're not already dead they're probably going to be locked up in jail for the rest of their life.

What do you want America to do about it go back in time we don't have that ability.

Probably a background check with the FBI. If you've ever bought a gun you would know that.

You fill out the 4473 form and they make a call to the FBI and do a background check on you.

It doesn't matter how strict or crazy or stupid you make the background checks if you can pass it you can pass it. And chances are you can pass it because so few law enforcement agencies enter in the information into the nics database. You probably have no idea what I'm talking about you probably think you can just go to the gun store and pick up a loaf of gun.

    Ignorance is just so annoying.

I don't think he has the first clue about buying a gun at all. Gun control only appeals to the ignorant.

All background check is is a stepping stone to further interfere with rights later down the road will you let us do this what's the matter with this they've been doing it for years.
