that's not true-in the USA lots of people who are banned by federal law from even possessing firearms carry them around. That is why honest people should be able to as well. Hard to shoot a fast moving pheasant or a deer with an unloaded weapon.
But when you see a fast moving pheasant or deer you should responsibly and reasonably do the right thing and call 911.
I don’t trust la lot of humans either; that’s why I carry. As for leftest voters who want to let criminals go free, shoul we wonder when thy want to both defund the police and call for disarming the law abiding. A good reason for my lack of trust.
When you read https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/08/entertainment/looney-tunes-reboot-guns-trnd/index.html you, or at least I, realize somewhere I crossed into the Looney Tunes A parallel universe, crossed into the twilight zone, or will awake from last night’s bottle soon. It when you think on it, it’s the ant-gun loonies that lack trust in anyone, anyone that is, except criminals. Yep, the absurd is becoming normalize, all the whacko leftest wet dreams are happening at one; a definite Rod Sterling script.
Jeez, none of the right-wingers have attacked my post in #7: "Me likey. 3. Confuses me. 5. 4 states have laws where you can only buy one gun per month which inhibits the straw purchase business model. (This is from memory) 8% of gun owners have 77% of the guns. I got other ideas... 6. Only ammo can be sold to a licensed gun owner for the caliber of that gun and no ammo hording (to be negotiated}. 7. To transfer ownership of any firearm the buyer must have a NICS run and form 4473 filled out (could be done online without a FFL). If that gun is used in a crime the last owner would be held liable, if it was not reported stolen." That means I am totally correct and there is no argument against. It would stop the transfer or arms to illegals and straw purchases, while protecting the rights of "law abiding citizens". Can i get an Amen?
Ah! Wait ... Once I wear the jacket and I'm in the zone where I hunt ... my weapons are loaded. As an aside note, I'm able to hunt also using a bow. Anyway, here we hunt overall deer and wild boars. Back to the discussion: the problem of the criminals is a different matter. A criminal is a criminal. The gun control laws are intended to avoid that a guy with problems [not a criminal] owns weapons. It's not about insane guys and gals. It's about persons with common emotional troubles. If you are furious and you bicker with someone ... if you haven't got weapons it will be a wrestling or a boxing match, but if you've got a weapon emotions could make you use it. This is the problem.
Right next to the place where it says automatic rifles can be infringed. And just a little ways away from infringing on LAWs, grenades, grenade launchers, and the like.
All rights are just privileges. Without an enforcing mechanism to any rights or privileges, they won't exist.
I do have the goods. Where is the right to infringe on automatic arms ownership allowed? So, it really isn't a point to claim something is a right per the constitution while then allowing infringements. Because if it's a right or a privilege, it gets the same treatments.
Number one thing is Real Background Checks for all purchases. Not a 5 minute perusal of a ****ed up database, a real background check. something like what you'd go through for a security clearance. That would stop a shitload of these mass shooters. Also registration, licensing, and liability insurance requirements for all owners would be good too.
#7 is blatantly unconstitutional several ways. Making someone liable for a crime without proving any intent or direct criminal action. Where does the government get the power to make a private citizen-who cannot engage in interstate commerce as to firearms sales-conduct a background check?
and how is that going to stop criminals from getting firearms? There is no evidence the background checks-which are of dubious constitutional validity, have done a damn thing. Anyone, I repeat anyone who claims that someone planning mass murder would be deterred by a background check cannot be taken seriously-ever
not among white Americans. White americans rate of homicide is about the same as whites living in gun banning nations
~ I never thought much about the 2nd Amendment until this disaster Biden/Harris administration... Now I believe that any law-abiding citizen who wants a pistola should have one ‐ and carry it concealed if they wish. I will take my chances with my demented fellow Americans than trust a totalitarian government . Live Free Or Die
My only personal issue is open carry when concealed is an option. IOW, Jeans and a tee shirt, is ok in a holster. Jeans and a jacket - concealed. Then long guns are another issue. I get the problems with this, but it’s a nod toward people who are afraid of firearms. It’s the pro gun version of flamboyant gays making a spectacle and getting in your face because they can. In fact as far as whites only, we are Sweden.
For me: 1. Repeal the National Firearms Act. 2. Repeal the Gun Control Act of 1968 3. Repeal the Brady Bill. 4. Make the death minimum sentence for 1st degree murder. 5. Make life without parole the minimum sentence for 2nd degree murder. 6. Make the minimum sentence for gun theft 50 years. 7. Make the minimum sentence for armed robbery 50 years. 8. Make the minimum sentence of carrying a gun, any gun, during the commission of a drug crime life without parole.
You see, that's where the gun lobbies' objections fall down, there are already so many infringements, the 2nd Amendment is not absolute.
