    that's idiotic. ever heard of 3D printers? do you think the military and the police will stop demanding normal capacity magazines. You clearly haven't a clue about this issue

    that the dishonest government violates the constitution is not an argument for it pissing on the document even more

    Are we incorrectly labeling criminals something they are not, like mentally ill? Let's find out why certain people resort to using violence as a means for solving whatever ails them, and then we can stop blaming and scapegoating inanimate objects like guns, knives, fists, or whatever for the reason we have record highs in homicides. Let's stop pretending people turn to crime for kicks and start acting like we care. Let's address the root causes for criminal behavior instead of blaming responsible people who have the right to own property such as guns.

    Truly, I think the Democrats have pandered to the anti-gun crowd for votes. Instead, they ought to be held responsible for enabling the gun toting criminal behavior of those who are doing most of the killing. Minorities on minorities type shootings in some major blue state run cities in our nation. Get to it, Democrats!

    Your list, plus one or two more ideas, will work but it will take generations. As each older generation dies out taking their hardened gun beliefs with them, and as each new generation is subjected to a less gun culture as each generation changes.

    Those that are pro gun dismiss the argument because they claim the proposed list won't achieve anything overnight, yet we know that, it takes generations. So in effect, it has no effect on the older generation. If they pass a background check, have a secure cabinet, and so on and so on, they have nothing to fear.

    So are they against this because they know they might be unsuitable to be a gun owner!!

    Correct, that's why the 2nd Amendment needs amending, by scrapping the Right to bare arms part. That should be #1 priority.

    Which are the critical points in the :police:legal management of weapons in the United States?

    A lack of control along the streets?

    Biologically at 18 you manage alcohol better than at 21 ...
    So that the only reason I can imagine for the American rule is that police street patrols are rare.
    In Italy we've got not one, but two armies along the streets [State Police and Carabinieri].
